This is inspiring to read. This book is good for the thirsty soul. I am blessed with reading it and highly recommend.

This book is an easy read and has valuable life lessons. You too can be fulfilled. This book is consistent with many beliefs and can change your thinking instantly.

Love the material

In the same vein as Ernest Holmes, Mary Baker Eddy, R.W. Emerson, William James and others, Ms. Shinn offers sage and practical advice on a wide range of topics common to all people. She is especially astute when it comes to prescribing ways of nurturingrelationships. Her work has a Christian emphasis, invoking the words of Christ to make a point. Yet she tempers the religiosity withvery real daily challenges that rely on universal qualities of compassion, love and understanding. She offers some good advice on money matters: how to gain wealth and hold on to it. Well-written by one whose soul and love shine throughout.

This book is amazing and really gives one hope. I like that its spiritual and she speaks of God and his wonders. I also read by her 'The Game of Life and How to Play It' I can read these books over and over as I stated there's so much hope in these words. I believe with God all things are possible and the Bible and these books enforce that belief.

There is a tremendous library of self-help books available today. Much of the advice and wisdom you find in these books can be traced to the works of Florence Scovel Shinn. Like her other books, Florence wrote The Power of the Spoken Word in very simple terms, reflecting the simplicity of the philosophy behind the ideas. The language may appear outdated in some passages, but the messages are timeless. Anyone who is struggling to understand life and how it works will find answers here. As they say, open your mind and "Be ears that hear!" This book can change your life and you won't need the countless others out there. They all have the same message but Florence really captures the essence of truth and makes it accessible to all. Perhaps that is why so many have tried to repackage her ideas. Why bother with those? Would read everything from this Author!!! Florence has a way to change your outlook on every day to day thing we do or say without even thinking about how these things can really affect our life. It is a true eye opener and I really love the simplicity of the principles, yet we do forget in life to apply them or to remember the source is there and that believing and trusting fully gets you real results. Highly recommend this book. Again, it really has had a impact on my way of thinking. Will read more from her!
