The first one I ordered was broken; the plastic chassis was snapped in two. This was replaced, but a service depot that was carrying out work on my projector, advised that the use of this lamp, which is a not a genuine JVC product, risked damaging the exact section of my projector that was being serviced and replaced.(the ballast board). I therefore had no option but to return this item for a refund and based on the advice that I received am unable to recommend its use for high quality and high performance JVC projectors.

Seemed to be perfect when first installed. A year since first preferred the bulb suddenly failed. My projector is infrequently used so would expect less than 200hrs of use. Seemed to lack a bit of brightness just before failure but can't be sure.Will now order an authentic bulb. Not really saying money if it needs replacing ten times in the lifetime of an authentic bulb.

Lacks about 30% lightoutput to deliver compatible performance to the original lamp, other than that its better than some of the other chinese alternatives.
