Great Book!
Brilliant! The only book I know of with so many of Ketelbey's works. However... there is one notable absence: Bells Across the Meadows - which I had to buy separately. (Also, the pages don't stay open very easily)

Ketelbey Classics for Piano
Ketelbey Classics are a collection of brilliant and fun bravura pieces for piano. They are challenging pieces, yet rewarding to a student who likes a challenge that is a bit (or more than a bit) different. Ketelbey wrote, or so it appears from this collection, mainly in the 1920s, though pieces range from about 1919 to 1930. He was acclaimed as "Britain's greatest living composer" but it might be more accurate to acclaim him as most inventive, particularly about subject matter. Titles of pieces include: In a Persian Market, In the Mystic Land of Egypt, In a Chinese Temple Garden, and The Clock and the Dresden Figures. These are great pieces to work on (they really demand some work), fun pieces to play, and have a great appeal for a recital audience. Once everyone knew theses pieces; now almost nobody does, so they are novel and entertaining.
