For the price, it’s good…
This is my first video scope purchase, so I don’t have anything else to compare it to, but there are definitely some things that I noticed about using it that might be helpful to others if they are going to get this unit.I own an air duct cleaning business and I purchased this unit to do a video scope for one of my clients of air ducts to look for any kind of deterioration, damage, or holes in the ductwork.PROS: Very affordable in comparison to other video scopes. The video screen unit is extremely easy to use (only a few buttons, but right out of the box you plug in the cable and hit the power button and it’s ready to use). Has phenomenal HD picture quality and can both take pictures and video. Seems to have a good battery life (so far). The video cable is extremely long (50 feet), and I was able to go deep into the ducts. A lot of the other products of this type had a cable of about a maximum of 15 feet.CONS: Video cable is incredibly stiff and doesn’t maneuver well in air ducts and I imagine it probably doesn’t maneuver well in drain pipes either. The camera is not positioned well in that it’s on the side of the camera unit instead of on the end. If the camera was on the end (which I think would be a much better design), you would be able to see a lot more than just the sides of the duct or pipe. I found myself having to reposition and re-feed the cable several times into the duct to see what I wanted to see. And since the cable is so long and stiff, it can get easily tangled and it’s kind of a pain to put away.I was able to get the video scope job done (my client was generally satisfied) and having this unit came in really handy when one of my air compression hoses got stuck in a return vent on another job. After a several minutes and re-feeding the cable in and out several times, I was able to diagnose the problem and fix it. I was extremely happy that I had purchased this unit because it probably would’ve taken much longer to diagnose the problem had it not been for the video scope. If you are planning to use this for the occasional home project (for the DIY type), to get eyes on a tight space that you can’t normally see, or a clogged pipe, then this is a good tool to have. If your business is professionally scoping drain pipes, ductwork, or electrical wires, then this unit isn’t for you. This unit is for consumers — not professionals.

Great quality, clear view, easy use and great price!
This is one of the best tools in my collection. I can look into unreachable areas and see clearly the parts and pieces that need repair and inspection. I like the fact I can take pictures and save them or email them for later viewing. Having the dual cameras to change the viewing angle is a great feature and both cameras perform excellent. The led lighting on the cameras is perfect in dark areas not to bright or dim perfect for clear viewing without glare. Before making this purchase I was looking at some very expensive models and this tool performs just as well if not better for a fraction of the price. It is very easy to use and switching cameras is just the push of a button. Battery life is very good even when used for long periods of time and often. I like the protective bumper on the screen to prevent damage from accidental drops etc. Overall very pleased with this endoscope I highly recommend it.

Product meets or exceeds in most of my criteria
This product is a very good fit to the criteria that I required for borescope:1. It had to be standalone. For some of the things I get into or areas I need to use this product, I don't want to be using my smartphone. I also don't want to fool around with WiFi, device drivers, or anything else just to get basic operation and imaging. This way, I know if it works now, it will continue to work in 10 years when other borescopes have long since lost their driver update support.2. Good resolution and depth of field; I didn't want to be struggling with the focus.3. Built-in side view function.4. Well light internally.5. 8 mm maximum diameter6. Good run time on internal battery.7. Reasonably rigid cable for blind insertion down pipes, etc.It had a pleasant surprise as well; the micro-USB connection between the remote camera and hand-held base was not only ruggedized, as in there is a recessed plug-in socket that engages quite a distance to secure the connection, there's also a lock button to assure it stays plugged in. Micro-USB as everyone knows is not rugged and can't maintain connection, and when you make the cable rigid on the camera, it needs a retention feature to remain plugged in.It does need something to hold the base unit so it can be viewed easily, as the cable is pretty stiff and wants to force its own orientation or even flip it as you push the camera into position. The small back-attached tab device they provide really isn't strong enough for this; see photo for my straightforward solution. This attaches easily to a portable camera tripod. The mounting thumbscrew used is a M4-0.7 thread, which you can find on Amazon. The menus were straightforward and easily navigated for setup; really, anything reasonable here would suffice. Directions were clear and written by someone who had pretty good command of English. The case was a good quality nylon zippered affair, with well padded foam inserts and extra storage, and it could probably take a good dropping in this case and survive.Edit: It appears that the end of the camera has a mating thread on it after all that does engage the "J" hook and the magnet accessories; it's necessary to unthread a surrounding protective ring to find it. This was initially missed because the instructions didn't document any of these features or accessories. And since it does appear that the product description on Amazon now shows them, I'll presume the instructions have been updated and I can download a new copy. Why 4 stars? Well, see second image. There were two accessories included in the kit, a "J" hook and a magnet - see second photo - that are pretty standard on borescopes to retrieve objects. Problem is, they both had a thread attachment on them which had no mating thread on the end of the camera - not very well thought out, of course. I will admit it wasn't advertised with this borescope, and they also weren't mentioned in the instructions, but come on guys, if you're going to provide these accessories, please make sure they are useful - am I supposed to duct tape these on when I need them?Overall, pretty good unit.

Works well at a great price point
I recall early endoscopes being expensive, clunky and larger. This unit works well for finding lost or dropped tools and fasteners as well as locating fluid leaks and many other tasks. The flexible part is way longer than i need and might be too stiff for some things but overall a nice compromise and has survived being poked into hot engine parts...I am quite satisfied with it.

Excellent quality
Finally, a product that does what it says. Bought the 33' version and used it today to inspect a Big-O drain for a retaining wall. Also allowed me to inspect a new septic installation. Saved me from having to dig anything up.Display is great and simple to use. Battery seems to totally adequate. Attached the super long camera cable to a fish wire and was able to push it the entire length of the cable thru the Big-O drain as trying to push it along by itself didn't quite cut it over that distance.Extremely pleased with the purchase and seller. Shipping was fast and the product is great.

As described, good product
I had an inspection camera from 10-15 years ago that stopped working so ordered this new one. This one is FAR better than my old one in every way. Clear images, much more consistently clear lighting and focus. The side camera is handy, and also shows clear images and provides good lighting.I broke the hook attachment while fishing Ethernet wire through a ceiling. I emailed Teslong and they sent a new set of attachments right away with no hassle so I appreciate that.I used it for probably a total of a couple hours and haven’t needed to charge it. The wire is the right amount of stiff and flexible to push into a small hole in the ceiling and maneuver it to look around. It’s a long wire that I don’t imagine ever needing more than several feet. It’s exactly what I hoped for.
