I used this to fill in a speech bubble frame so that I could write different messages on it for my students. I use the markers the kit came with and they are working perfectly! It sticks really well to cardboard and I has held up to many messages and erases.

With grid on backside, it is very easy to cut to fit. I adhered it to one of my kitchen cabinet doors on the the outside of door. So very handy to stay organized in kitchen. The pens it comes with writes on it well and do not leak from pen. Dries quick and does not run/dribble from what is marked on the contact paper chalk board. The board cleans well, however being in kitchen I do not use the piece of magic eraser it comes with because chalk dust will fall onto my cabinet. A damp paper towel works great.

Going to be honest, I bought this with the expectation that it would be much more for the cost but it in fact was not. It was very easy to install but unwrapping it was a pain due to the paper not being flat and causing some air bubbles, but it was an easy fix to rub the bubbles out. Bought this as an alternative to painting my walls with chalkboard paint for my stream so we will see how it holds up overtime.

Applied this to a board to create a chalkboard for our pantry area. While the roll is much longer than we needed, the price was good and I figure that I can use the extra for other projects or as a new layer over the existing layer if we end up needing that eventually. The cutting lines on the back of the sheet made cutting to size a breeze. The sheet installed easily--I was careful to position the first edge and then slowly peeled off the back, adhering about an inch at a time. The few bubbles that I had were easy to work out. So far the paper is cleaning up nicely after using the included chalk markers.

This is a quick easy out of the way simple board to write on. I placed it on one of my camper walls.

I know you came down to the reviews to see if this product is really what you think it will be, and I’m here to tell you it’s not.I bought 3 rolls of this chalkboard paper thinking I was going to do a large mural on my wall with chalkboard markers. After reading some of the reviews and most of them being positive I thought it was worth a chance.Let me start by saying if you’re looking for something cheap and mediocre to just use temporarily, this product might be for you. The issues are in the quality.First off, because of the texture of the paper itself and the fact that it comes in a tight roll, when you remove the plastic and start to unroll it you will notice it’s nearly impossible to get it flat. What’s more, while you fidget and pull on and bend it to try and flatten it out, it creates visible marks on the paper that you can’t smooth out.So you’re off to a great start with creased paper but you’ve gotten it somewhat flat. Then you go to peel off the adhesive side and you’ll realize rather quickly that the adhesive is a very thick and gooey like substance, and it sticks to everything- your hands, anything the paper is laying on top of, and it especially sticks to itself, like once the sides touch together you will rip it trying to get them apart.So now your paper is creased and you’re sticky, but hope carries you through because if it’s THAT sticky it should have no problem sticking to the wall. Wrong. It sticks to literally everything but the wall actually. The problem with it is that initially when you put it on, it’ll stay on there, but after 1-2 days, the paper is sliding right off your wall. And you might be thinking, “well maybe the texture of your wall just didn’t work with it” and yes I thought that same thing. So you test the other 2 rolls on different surfaces around your apartment and the same thing happens to pretty much any surface you try.These are all things happening to me right now, this is an honest frustration I am sharing with you all.So now you’re frustrated that the setup was so hard but you ignore it because now it’s time to draw! Hooray, the best part is coming!Guess what, actual chalk does not sit on this paper well at all, and I would compare it to trying to write your name with a nickel. It doesn’t show up well and when you decide to erase it, it leaves deep white spots that you can never really wipe all the way off. I attempted to use chalk markers on it and it did the same thing when erased, probably even to a worse degree.So in synthesis, I was pretty disappointed and lost the motivation to do the mural after I threw everything away. I gave it 2 stars because I always feel bad giving 1 star but that’s just because I’m a quality person, unlike this chalkboard paper. But hopefully by reading this review, you’ll make the decision to spend the money and get a higher quality chalkboard paper so you don’t end up like me- with crushed dreams.

This product is a great idea. Easy to cut and fit to whatever you want to cover. Like the liquid chalk markers, too.

This is perfect for walls if you set it up correctly, be patient and don’t let the bubbles form. It looks really nice on my office wall. I work for a non profit and money is always tight so they can’t afford to buy us white boards. This does the job!
