A Good Buy
I have a couple of Ryobi batteries, so this was a logical add to the tool collection. My wife wanted one for her desire to cut down stuff, so I thought it was in my best interest to keep her occupied. She used it once so far and says it works very well. It came simply packaged in a plain cardboard box with a few air packs thrown in. Apparently it also included some blades, but they managed to slip out a gap in the box. All that remained of them was the plastic sleeve they were in. Not a problem because I had a fresh set of blades from a corded unit. Despite the minimal packaging, it arrived undamaged and in new condition. At this point I have to give this a five star rating based on the low cost for such a quality product. I've had great luck with all my Ryobi products, and this one seems as good as the others. I'll update if it doesn't continue to perform.

The Sawzall is great
I use the Sawzall for just about everything. Cutting wood, cutting tree roots cutting branches I can cut just about anything. I've been using this now for well over a year and I use it a lot and it works great. I love using this because it doesn't kill the battery very fast and a very versatile you can use it to do all kinds of stuff. and very light as well I love it

What a work horse!
I'll start off by saying this thing is awesome and I wish I had gotten one a long time ago! It would have saved me a lot of headaches in the past if I had owned one sooner. I decided it would be a good investment to get one of these with how much trimming I've had to do on our Florida property since moving here a year ago. This cuts through just about anything within reason! I cut through a bunch of metal bound shelving that we needed to get rid of. I was able to cut them into small enough sections to dispose of it easily. Trimming palm branches is so easy with this. It will cut through a thick one in a few seconds, and it takes much less effort than using giant pruning shears. My largest project to date was getting rid of a bushy tree we had in the corner of our back yard. This thing was pretty large, and I am mad at myself for not getting a before picture of it. I at least included the pile of what I was able to cut off the tree with this Ryobi saw. Impressive! Oddly enough, my Ryobi Reciprocating Saw did actually come with the retail box and instructions, even though this stated it doesn't. I couldn't tell this apart from a brand new one, and the price was great! Since I own a bunch of other Ryobi tools I already have a charging base and two batteries, so the bare tool is all I needed. Wonderful tool!

18volt Sawzal/reciprocating saw. Had deal breaker issues, now, not as bad.
Edit; I'll leave my initial review up, but this update adds 3 stars. The main problem I had was that the blade was wobbling back and forth, seems to me now that it was a thin/cheaper blade, as my other blades don't seem to have the issue. I think my other complaint was that the 'safety' off button makes it difficult to keep the sawzall in a running state, it is in a terrible location, it should be recessed on the right side when in use not protruding, or in a totally different location. I have probably have 1 hour total running time, maybe two at the most, over the course of two or three months. The SIDE TO SIDE SLOP is quite unacceptable it is about a 3/8'' .375'' 10mm when measuring deflection to either side or blade to 'rest' or 'shoe' of saw. I hadn't noticed this horrid deflection before, but am trying to cut some very metal accurately, the blade is bouncing all over the place making a joke out of my project. Ryobi has been my 'go to' for decades, I think that 'friendship' has come to an abrupt end. ---------------------- Original Title and Review; Love this new sawzall, batteries and chargers are compatible with all my Ryobi tools. P519 18V. I was in a trade for decades, just never use battery sawzalls, though I have ryobi drills and batteries, and love this brand. The battery and chargers are interchangeable though this szall comes with no battery, but at a good price. On first use I thought it was a bit loud and prone to lots of vibration, but the vibration was probably due to the pretty cheap wood-blade that came with it, or perhaps the wrong choice of blade for my first task. I've cute a few minor items so far 3'' dia branches, and a little bit of 3/4'' board with good results using a quality blade with more teeth than the original one I used. As for noise, I do have ear plugs, so no big deal . Note; my old charger, the big lime green one is the charger I use even though the last drill came with a newly designed charger, my green charger is probably 15+ years old lol, but I love it. For light to medium use my guess is that this will work for everyone, for commercial use, I think they make a more robust one, but this will be excellent for what I need it for.

Love Ryobi tools
I collect Ryobi tools and there are so many. When I saw this I could not resist. This is a high quality saw that will cut through anything if you use the correct blade. Love this little saw. Versatile and well made.

Great value and works much better than my older model (as advertised)
Really does cut faster and is noticeably better than my 15 or 20 year old Ryobi reciprocating saw. It stopped working completely, possibly due to a need for internal lubrication. Works with my old 18 volt batteries and was a great bargain. The old one was worth the money too since it lasted so long. One of the best deals I’ve gotten lately.

An absolutely necessary tool to have!
So far cut down several 4 inch diameter small trees like butter using "TOLESA Wood Pruning Reciprocating Saw Blades 9 inch." Plenty of battery power even with the smallest Ryobi battery (I had them already with a Ryobi drill). Also used the saw to literally cut in 2 minutes flat a badly damaged blue recyclable box into 4 pieces to put out on the street inside my new box. Zip zip! Like butter. This cordless saw is so light and powerful I don't know how I got along without it. I got mine a year ago for ten dollars less but even for 50 bucks it is a must-have. I also have the Ryobi portable shop light, and an extra 2 Mah battery (37W). I've used both the smaller battery and the 2Mah battery in the saw. Go get this saw you won't regret it.

Great price, great tool
No fancy box, but the tool appears new and works well at half the price of buying at HD. Contrary to some reviews here, it does come with a blade and a manual. No warranty though. I would probably recommend you pony up the $5.99 to purchase the Asurion 3-year warranty when you make the purchase. I haven't had any issues so far, but I read a couple of reviews that claim the motor burned out soon after purchase. It's worth the money for the peace of mind. I've used Asurion before for a replacement and the process was fast and easy. They basically just provide a refund if something goes awry outside of Amazon's replacement window. Overall, very pleased. So nice not having to lug around an extension cord and so far, it works better than the Chicago Tools saws-all I used to use.

cutting up big game
My hunting party uses this Ryobi cordless sawzall to cut up moose and deer. A good blade cuts through the ribs and separates the quarters with ease. Easy to wash after.
