Help have an understanding of your soil temperatures
I moved to a cooler location and wanted to expand on my vegetable gardening, used to live where the season was long and you could fairly easily grow a bountiful harvest. Now cooler, shorter growing season so wanted to become more familiar with how fast the soil warms up and how to position both my fiber growing bags i am trying this year and the metal raised beds i bought. so far, they do as advertise, how accurate they are i can't tell you for sure but i think accurate enough and help you get a feel for your soil temperatures and when to plant various crops, especially warm season ones like tomatoes, beans, peppers, etc.

Fast and easy to read
This appears to be a well made product. The reading stabilizes very fast when pushed into the compost pile. It reads within a degree or two of a thermocouple sensor I have (I don't know which is more accurate) which is more than enough precision for monitoring compost. I like this product well enough that I recently bought a second one.

Must have tool for gardeners
A tool that every gardener who grows vegetables must have. This one has particularly long stem that helps test soil temperatures deep below the surface.
