Works great for this price point
I have long, thick, wavy hair. I usually just put some product in it and let it air dry. I actually really like my wavy hair when it decides to act right, but sometimes I get in the mood to have it straight. Of course then I remember how long it takes me to dry it, cool down because I will have worked up a good sweat (should probably just shower again), and then straighten it. It's a workout. It lasts longer than my workouts. The mood passes. Somehow I had missed there were straighteners out there that would straighten wet hair. I heard someone talking about them. I was intrigued. Of course this person was talking about ones that cost more than my monthly car payment and I wasn't really interested in those. I looked for a more economical version. I saw this one and thought the price was obviously right but wasn't too sure if it would be all that good. Sometimes you do need to pay more to get better quality (not a car payment's worth though). But the reviews were good so I decided to take a chance. This one is good for the price. I washed my hair, plopped it in a t-shirt for a bit (maybe around 20-25 minutes) then combed it out, sectioned it off and straightened it. My hair is pretty dang smooth. I will say that I could see a bit of a wave near my roots but that's because I was starting too far down on my hair. I didn't put any product on my hair and did it kind of quick but it still looks really good. You'd never know my hair was wavy. You do have to section your hair off pretty well and not do huge sections at a time. For this price point I am extremely happy. On some of the wetter sections of my hair it took a few passes to get them dry. I wouldn't use this on my hair if it were soaking wet but that's just me. It just seems like it would take to long, not be as good. It's easy to use and heats up fast once plugged in. It does of course create steam as it's drying the hair, and when I saw that I had some major flashbacks to the 80's and early 90's when we all styled our hair with curling irons and Rave hairspray, spraying our hair while it was in the curlling iron. Fortunately my hair will survive this styling tool in way better shape. And I won't put a hole in the ozone this time.

Game Changer!! MAGICAL!!!!!
I am blown away. In fact I don't have to use my blow dryer anymore! I've been drying my hair, a 20-30 minute job, followed by another 20 minutes to straighten or curl my hair. My hair is waist length. I was actually looking for a wider straightener when I found this, hoping to cut my time a little. I bought this and forgot I had it until yesterday. It took 20 minutes to dry my hair and it was impressively straight. It stayed straight through the night, that never happens. It stayed straight all day out in the wind and heat, that never happens. I've always had to buy hair tools that have high heat, 450° is my number! If it doesn't go up that high or higher, it's not going to do much. I'm Irish and Finnish and my hair is tough. It's straight for the most part, but not smooth. I call my hair Irish/Finnish Sheep Hair. I colored my hair 7 times in one day and it didn't phase the texture. I was in Cosmetology and I could use a Marcel iron on my hair without burning it. So this, this is an impressive tool!!! I've been telling everyone about it. This is all I need now to do my hair. I think I'll get a second one, just to have.

Great flat iron
I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 39 years just want to say this is one of the best flat irons I have ever used and I’ve used professional flat irons ones over the counter ranging from $20 all the way up to three $400 and this is absolutely amazing. It straighten your hair the first time you use it. Less damaging to the hair it keeps your hair, shiny and healthy looking not dry or damagedin. I give it all five stars fabulous product highly recommend it.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯

Title is misleading….
Let me start by saying I’m not a pro at styling my hair with any hair tool. I’d probably give some beauticians a heart attack if they ever saw my daily routine.I bought this hoping I’d be willing to do something with my hair besides putting it up in a bun. I mean, what’s the point of letting it grow if I just keep it piled on top of my head, right?I’m lazy. I hate blow drying my hair. It always seems like I miss areas and then I’m left trying to style damp patches because I refuse to get the dryer out again.I was so hoping this tool would let me eliminate the hair dryer altogether. I’m afraid to say that I’m a bit let down. While it does straighten and dry your hair at the same time, it takes multiple passes to do so. Which, to me is the same as drying and then using a flat iron. So, no points for the “wet to dry” product banner. However, I could see these tool be helpful with my issue of having damp areas after blow drying.Tool does not pull or tug hair- wet (damp) or dry. It really just glides over the sections. If you are using it on damp hair, you will notice steam. Per product pamphlet, that is normal. I did not see any fried ends or burnt areas after using this tool (I did apply a heat protectant beforehand).Tool is extremely lightweight and easy to handle. It has a locking button to keep the plates together while not in use (missing a cord keeper thing, which annoys me). While lightweight, it still feels durable.Beautiful color- not too pink, but subtle and feels more “grownup” and sleek looking. While I’m disappointed in not having instant flat, dry hair after using this product on my damp hair, I won’t be returning it. I still feel that with a little extra work, it can still do a wonderful job on helping me straighten my hair.
