Bought these to cool the AVR cabinet that houses my new Denon Amp, which can get quite hot. The cabinet is a corner TV unit with large cupboard doors and 2 shelves. My plan was to have the AVR on the top shelf which gets the hottest and the Blu-Ray and other kit on the bottom that is not used as often.I use one fan on the top rear of the cabinet back to extract the hot air from the top shelf area and use the other connected fan on the back of the bottom of the unit to blow cold air into the unit.This provides cooler air in at the bottom to circulate up to the amp where the top fan extracts the hot air out.It works perfectly as the fans can just be fitted reversed to provide extraction or blowing.They are mains powered with one switch that controls the speeds from off to 3 and they are very powerful. I have mine on the lowest setting and it works perfectly for normal TV use, but if you're watching surround sound movies all night with the amp at 50-60% then setting it to Medium keeps the unit cool with no heat build up in the top shelf of the cabinet above the amp.So I'm really pleased with them to be honest. There is plenty of cable, although the controller switch could do with a bit more length as it means reaching into the back to get to the control switch.So I leave mine on low setting and the whole system including the fans is controlled by Apple Homekit anyway to the fans come on along with the AV equipment and off at bedtime.One other thing to note, the fans come with front and rear guards which was essential in my purchase as we have cats that like to go where they are not supposed to - so guards on the front and back are essential.In order to secure the fans to the cabinet rear, I used a hole saw and finished off the job with a jigsaw and a Dremmel to smooth and shape the hole as best I could to fit the circular area of the fan to make sure the fans were not restricted. Now the guards can be removed, so I used the guard on the inside of the cabinet and screwed these through the rear and into the fan. However the fans only come with the standard M5 10mm screws, so are not long enough to go through the 5-6 mm of wood backing on the rear of the AV cabinet. So I purchased some M5 20 mm screws from Amazon here and these were perfect to secure the fans tightly onto the cabinet. Job done.I am really pleased with the performance and although on medium or high speed they can be a little noisy, this is soon drowned out by the sound from the amp. I just leave mine on the lowest setting and can't complain.So if you want to extend the life of your AVR or other AV equipment, heat is the killer here, so cooling is essential, so well worth the small investment to protect your expensive system.PS the wiring in the photos looks a mess! - I only took these to show the fans before the equipment got re-installed and the wiring all tied up ☺

Good fans, joined together with a cable which means they can't be much more than 1m apart without some cable surgery. They have a 3 speed and off controller switch inline, which works OK and gets a bit warm, but not hot, when using fans. Supplied with a 12v connector to the mains. Fans are quiet but as you might expect, quite a bit of air noise at top speed. No problem with these for me, I only needed then for the greenhouse, might be a bit overpowering for a gaming cooler but cheap enough to serve most purposes without breaking the bank.

The pair of fans and speed controller were perfect for installing in the back of a 6-unit rack holding graphic equalisers.

I am using these to provide air flow to my microgreens growing setup on a wire shelving unit, which they are cable-tied to. So far they have been excellent. The speed settings on the inline switch unit are really handy. I keep mine on the low setting and run them continuously, no issues even after 2 - 3 weeks. Although the switch unit does get a bit warm when left on for long periods, it's not hot enough to warrant any concern. I was worried they would be very loud but the noise level is very low (they are rather loud on the highest setting, but on the low setting the noise is hardly noticeable). Very happy with these especially for the price.

These fans are a great solution for my network cabinets fit perfectly and the speed variation is great

Bought these to vent an AV cupboard with PCs in it but they are simply not fit for this purpose. They do shift a lot of air but are just FAR too noisy even on the lowest setting. I ended up using these to temporarily air out the cupboard under the stairs instead which had gotten a bit musty! They did a good job of that! AC Infinity MULTIFAN S7 is what you are looking for if you want to cool an AV cupboard - these do the job perfectly and, unlike the fans here, actually are whisper quiet, being barely audible even on the high setting.

Ist im Sommer im "kleinen" Serverschrank in Betrieb, da es dann doch sehr warm darin wird. Dauerhaft wollte ich dort keine Lüfter laufen haben aufgrund des Geräuschpegels. Im Winter werden diese dann einfach ausgeschaltet.Seit gut 1,5 Jahren in Betrieb und funktioniert.
