Price is higher than I’d like but definitely an improvement from the old one.
Had an old V3230 model. It had gotten to the point where half the time it was getting finicky about vacuuming out the air in the bags. No more issue with that. Vacuums like a champ repeatedly unless I miss judge my lengths or overfill the package. LolTwo things I don’t particularly care for is the latch that says open, store and close. It is super stiff and when you try to disengage it from the closed position it often wants to slam up and I’m afraid that it’s going to damage some of the internal sensors and it can be hard to do it one-handed while holding a bag. My other not so much complaint but thing that I miss is my ability to make bags while another bag was being vacuumed and sealed. In my old model it had the bag cutter attached to an overhead roll storage compartment. So while a bag was in the process of vacuuming and sealing itself I would be re-measuring and cutting a new bag. With this model the cutting and sealing is all done and within about 2 inches of the lip of the lid. While there is a convenience to this method where once you’ve measured out you can hit the seal button and cut it at the same time while it’s creating the new bang. The length of the lip of the lid does make it a little more difficult to gauge your measurements since like I said about 2 inches of it is under the lip that you can’t see. I find myself using one of the bags that I made that seems to be the right size portion for what we’re storing and using it as a template for a future bags to reduce their amount of misjudging I was doing because of the limited visability under the cut and seal area of the lid. I have not gotten to try the car charger travel extension for the power plug yet and the owners manual has some good information in it some recipes and also some good diagram illustrations on most of the pages for proper operations of certain aspects of the machine to include a Storage life guide for everything from meats to liquids that gives you an idea of what your shelflife should be. Overall I’m very happy with it!!!

BEST VACUUM SEALER EVER!!!!
There is nothing to dislike. This brats any sealer I have ever owned or seen from Food Saver. This one is called: FoodSaverGame. I was astonished when I viewed this machine. It has a handle to carry along to any part in my home. Additionally, who came up with taking one outdoors when hunting? It has adaptor to connect to car lighter port to seal and vacuum just small or large hunted game. There are 3 large buttons to close, store vacuum on the spot with very large bags and a roll to make the size needed. It has a port with tube to vacuum container and jars. This port has powerful suction which I use for any canning jar needed as well as bottles. I purchased the adaptors for wide and regular jar lids some time ago when my first Food Saver broke. I paid less and got more for this particular machine. I'm totally in love with the FoodSaveGame product for all the used I mentioned. To be portable is awesome because I have canned so many cases of everything from baking power, cheese, jerky, beans, seasonings, dehydrated potatoes for augratin, and other dry goods in pint, quart, or 1/2 gallon jars and canisters. My pantry is full, and I am thrilled with my purchase. By the way, I suggest including the Magic Mill 10 tray dehydrator, and don't forget the most versatile Medove adjustable Mandolins Slicer with a dial from 3, 8-9mm that slices and julienne french fries, cabbage zucchini, tomatoes, peppers and comes with a pair of safety gloves for your protection. I sliced 60#+potatoes. I'm thrilled and great prices!!!!

Versatile and great for those who travel.
I used this the first time while fishing. I caught some nice size blue catfish and filleted them out. I attempted to vacuum seal them and found that the heating element doesn't get hot enough to seal with moisture in the way. So my recommendation to anyone is to keep towels around to pat the items dry prior to using this item. As of right now I am fair disappointed with this item for that reason. I was planning to use it on an upcoming hunting trip so I can seal everything and place it in a cooler for easier and smaller storage. I would recommend trying a different sealer.June 29th 2020After a lot more use as previously stated. If whatever your packaging is wet, like freshly filleted fish this won't seal due to if fluid getting in the seal. If you pat dry the items it will seal properly. Finding this out I upgraded my previous review from 2 star to 4. If you plan to wet cure or ferment anything that has fluid this is not recommended. I'm glad I did not get rid of my cheap sealer that has a wet or dry feature so I can store soups or wet items.March 30, 2021This product is great for anyone that travels or hunters that butcher shortly after success. I've used for everything (meal prep while traveling, wild hog, birds, fish, and venison). Make packing everything into the cooler easier for that trip back. Reduces spoilage by moisture and air.

Saves so much time and worth every penny!
Love this thing. I got it on sale and on Prime day and i got it less then half price. It made packaging my harvests this year go by 4 times faster then having to pack all the meat by hand. I used it to package up my Black Bear, Whitetail Buck and Mule Doe this 2018 Fall. Love it!

works good on bigger jobs
So far I have not had any problems with over heating on big jobs . Have an older one as backup. Food saver plastic rolls are readily available even in my small town. Substitute Plastic rolls don't work very reliably.

Not the best unit
Works good if the item is dry. Does not work good for fish or any seafood products.

Safe your food. So you save money
I had gotten my first one in 1997.It just gave out this winter. If you like to keep wild meat, fish and other stuff fresh it is worth every penny. We use ours most for fish and wild meat.
