Review: Easy application, effective light shielding, cost efficient - Used this to blackout 2 sliding glass doors and 2 fairly large windows. I work night shifts sometimes and this is a godsend. I sleep a lot better with my windows blacked out and am able to take really great naps during the day as well. If you follow the instructions, use common sense, and have a little patience this is really easy to do. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about, it just takes a little time and following instructions. Watch a you tube video. Measure your window, and order a size roll that closely resembles the size of window you are trying to black out. A little math and you may even be able to do 2 windows with 1 roll. It stretches and sticks pretty easily once it's on the window. Also go ahead and buy a couple new utility/razor blades because it makes it a lot easier if you have a very sharp knife. Trust me, have a few new utility blades on hand. Spray plenty of water on the window after you clean it and use a credit card to help you cut straight edges along the window. You will probably have a tiny tiny bit of light peeking in along some of the edges but it is hard to get rid of all of it. If you are OCD you can probably negate a lot of it but this product will eliminate 99% of the light from the room. One thing about this product I like also is that it doesn't look terrible from the outside. Once you have it installed go outside and look to see where any extra air/water pockets are. After you have it cut and put onto the window it's easy to peel off if you don't want the room blacked out, and then you can reapply without cutting anything again.

Very easy to cut with guidelines and much thicker than window cling I've used previously. Backing wasn't terrible to remove just some effort (initial piece has removal tab, second piece after cutting didn't but wasn't too difficult). Application was very easy, cleaned the windows then sprayed with water and used a card to squeegee out any bubbles. Stuck very firmly. Went with white knowing black isn't for double paned windows. Last summer I used white foam board which worked well to block out sun/heat but due to thickness need removal every time I wanted to open the windows. This is much more efficient for about the same cost. Some reviews complain it's not completely black out, which is not true. The cling itself is completely black out but due to caulking at window/glass seams it's not possible to get true edge to edge coverage. Easily remedied with some white electrical tape over these edges.

**Q: How to remove the air bubbles?**
A: Use a plastic card to squeegee air bubbles and water. If it's hard to get rid of the bubbles, uncover the window film, spray more water between the glass and the film and squeegee firmly again. Water will make it much easier to remove bubbles.

**Q: Any tips to peel off the protective liner?**
A: Attach 2 pieces of transparent tape to the front andback surfaces of a corner of the film. Press the 2 pieces of tape firmly together, then quickly pull them apart to begin separating the clear liner away from the static side of the film.

**Q: Can I remove the film at a later stage?**
A: Absolutely. Our blackout film is removable and reusable. You can just simply peel the film off the glass in seconds with no mess.

**Q: Why the film fall off after a while?**
A: Please check if you have removed the liner, trimmed the edges or queegeed excess water and bubbles. Leave a 1/16” wide gap around the four perimeter edges of the film. This gap is essential for the proper thermal expansion of the glass.

Not sure about the other reviews but glad I took a chance to purchase, will be buying another roll! Very easy to cut with guidelines and much thicker than window cling I've used previously. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good fix, but it’s not perfect

This works well enough. Applied it to a 20”x 20” square, east-facing, bedroom window. It was impossible to sleep in there beyond sunrise even with a shade. That window also works as a dang radiator; that room is always hotter than others. The film can be a little finicky during application; it slips and slides if you’re not careful, but it gets the job done. Unfortunately, I was unable to cut off the excess along the edges because I don’t have a tool sharp enough to do so. It needs to be Xacto-knife sharp. All of our box cutters and such are far too dull. The film just slides around when attempting to cut it. So I just left it. Aside from that, I’m pleased. It’ll be hidden behind the shade anyway. It truly is 100% blackout as long as you manage to cover every square inch of the window. Any and all gaps, no matter how small, will be very noticeable though so keep that in mind if you don’t plan on covering the window with an additional curtain or shade. It certainly makes the room cooler and much easier to sleep in. Great, budget-friendly fix.
