Meindl Dovre Extreme GTX

I read the reviews on here before buying these boots and they were all mostly positive. I have a size 8 shoe and ordered the size 8.5 as I intended to wear a thick pair of knee high socks with them. They fit perfectly and are really comfy and well made. In order to soften the leather a little I got the wife’s hair dryer out and soaked Sno-Seal into the leather like I do with most of my boots.You can walk all day in these bad boys and they feel like your walking around in your slippers. So if you’re looking for a pair of good quality boots that will keep you dry blister free, these are the ones to buy.Yes they are expensive as hell, but I reckon I will have these boots until the end of my days.I have since bought the Miendl wax and conditioner which I found after I had used my sno-seal so as soon as they start to dry out a little, I will give that a coating to see how it compares.Highly recommend these high leg boots

Good sturdy and comfy pair of boots.bought them to replace my grisport boots that lasted 3 years. I work outdoors and constantly outside in the woods. These boots are perfect for my needs. Warmer than I was expecting too. No pinching or rubbing from wearing them in either.Only downside is that the laces already have some slight wear from the angle of the 2nd lace hooks from the bottom, but I will just replace the laces with 550 cord if they become too worn.I have worn these in deep mud and water, my feet have stayed warm and dry the entire time.Should get several years of use out of them.

Having worn Irish Setter boots for many years I replaced them last week with Meindl Dovre Extreme. I wanted something with protection around the toe, the only place my Setters had been worn away... Lots of research and decided, based on reviews to go with the Meindls.... I wore them for the first time on Saturday. The day was very, very wet with torrential rain throughout! The boots fitted like a glove...However, I had wet feet by the final drive!! Very, very disappointed. Not sure if the rain and wet worked its way through my socks at the top and soaked through down to my feet. I will try them once more in the rain and if no better, going back! Expected better.........

The boots were perfect, once broken in. Never had a pair that were as comfortable. They do keep your feet dry, even on the wet mossy mountains of Donegal

The best boots my husbands ever worn, hands down! Completely waterproof as stated. Been tested in the welsh mountains, rivers, forests and marsh lands and they're just incredible!!!

Better late than never! I have been the proud owner of these fine boots for over two years, I'm a traveller and a keen woodsman... They are fantastic! Waterproof, hardy, comfortable as anything I've worn before... They are finally wearing though at the heels (that'd be my fault!) and the insides have seen better days! But still solid and comfortable... Expensive but worth every penny, looking to buy my second pair now, so I thought I'd share my thoughts... Only thing would be the thin sole, could do with a bit of a sturdier one but hey... There is no better boot on the market

These boots fit and feel exactly like my size 9 Meindl Borneo boots although they are clearly marked size 10.They are described as wide fitting but I cant see any difference in width.With thick socks and a few miles of walking they have felt good from the start as all my Meindl boots have.A class B/C boot they are heavier, with a thicker, stiffer sole as I expected, this is no problem and they feel fine straightaway

These were bought as a Christmas present so unable to answer the fit question. However my husband already has a pair & they fit fine.
