We believe there are three constants that make for the best polarized sunglasses: affordability, mirror lenses, and bamboo. Bamboo sunglasses are not only a durable material, but they offer an incredible level of comfort. Polarized mirror lenses allow you to see on the water, and on roads with more clarity. The Rush Black polarized sunglasses are a step into a new fashion sense. Featuring beautiful yellow polarized lenses (mirrored), black acetate front with keyhole bridge, and bamboo arms. The bamboo and acetate are highly durable materials attached with a small flexing metal hinge. Includes 8wake soft case.

Sunglasses Give Off A "Cheap" Look, But Sunglass Lens Are Alright!
I really thought that I would like these, since I have another pair of bamboo sunglasses. When I received these and tried them, I was surprised to find that they pressed too much on the bridge of my nose and also slipped down on my face and felt big. After wearing them a while I examined them. Most glasses these days have a hinge that has something like a little spring in them (hey I know, not exactly a great description, but I am not an optician). This spring action adapts the sunglasses to different head and face sizes. On inspection, the left side when I had them on, seemed to work as usual. The right side, while not obviously broken, did not have the spring action, like the left side did, which explains the loose feeling. In addition, I am not really thrilled about the combination of the two different materials, the bamboo on the sides and the black plastic on the frames. The view through the lens is good though, so if you are not at all interested in how they look, perhaps these might be what you might want to try for fit. The plastic is accentuated because of the bamboo and gives these glasses a cheap look, very similar to the glasses that I picked up on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, to use so that I wouldn't lose my good sunglasses.I just am not thrilled at all with the look of these glasses and probably would not buy them for myself, but I understand that others might like them, hence the three star rating.I was furnished these sunglasses either for free or at a reduced cost in exchange for my fair and honest review. All opinions expressed are mine and mine alone and I feel that I have given my clear opinion. Like you, I am an avid Amazon shopper and I rely on truthful reviews, when buying for myself and my family.

Nice bamboo and nice frames!
These glasses seem special. They look like a fantastic new design a new dimension of sun glasses but really they're just a pair of sun glasses made with bamboo. I received my first pair and they were broken oh well no big deal amazon is super cool and got me a replacement and shipped it next day for free. Gotta love amazon right. I then got my second pair which honestly I was happy to receive because I had the impression these were a bomb pair of shades. I tried them on and they sat funny on my face and I put them onto my desk at work abd the bars that sit behind the ear were not sitting flat and I'm sure you know if yur glasses are not flush to the desk they sit weird. I hoped I'd get a pair of glasses that were manufactured to a specific degree and quality controll would have found out that these were off. I contacted the company numerous times. They were not neglectful but they didn't get back to me on the issue and when they did they just said sorry not every pair of glasses will fit all persons face. All I was saying is that the glasses were miss aligned and they didn't seem to understand. Oh well I now have these glasses which I will wear but they could have sent me a pair that wasnt tweaked out.Pros. The bamboo is of very good quality as is the plastic they use for the frame. The color of the lenses is pretty sweet and they do a great job reflecting the sun and allowing you to see on any sunny day. I'm not completely upset about these sun glasses. I'd have a lot more compliments to say if these were just a little better and not tweaked out.* I received this product at a discount for my honest review. Thanks for reading.

Great all around sunglasses. Love the bamboo arms.
It's hard to tell from the photos, but the lens are actually a mirrored chrome-like finish with lots of orange in them, a hint of yellow (the photos make it look more like brown lenses.) I'll try and post my own photos here.// FRAMEThe brown part of the frame is a nice smooth, polished finish, and feel durable, not fragile or brittle. They have a small amount of flex to them.// ARMSThe arms are a really smooth bamboo, with a thin sateen finish to them. This is my first pair of glasses that use bamboo (second pair by 8Wake), and I have to say that I like the feel of the material. Compared to my all plastic sunglasses, the bamboo slides more easily over your face and hair whereas the plastic tends to stick slightly to your face. The arms are also slightly more straight than my other glasses. The part that goes over the ear does not turn inward as much as other glasses, and I feel it's the middle of the arm that is hugging my head, not the end or hook of the arm. With my other pair of 8Wake sunglasses, the bamboo arms start to dark up a bit wear the oils have rubbed onto it—these have a nice finish to them that seems to be keeping the oils from penetrating.// HINGESI like the spring hinges that are forgiving of over expanding the arms. They also gently snap the arms into place: close and open. They also are forgiving in the alignment of the arms. You can twist them slightly to adjust the comfort and alignment to your head.// LENSESThe lens are crisp and clear. The polarization creates a faint blue tint to everything, yet still bright. They are not super dark lenses, but more of a light to medium tint. One small problem with my OTHER pair of 8Wakes (the Rush Black Bamboo) arose from the level of tinting in that the sunlight shines through with just enough intensity that it sometimes is reflected back from my face onto the inside of the lenses creating a reflection. It almost appears as a smudge in my vision. This is MUCH LESS of a problem with this pair, to the point where I barely notice it.I also noticed that the lenses completely block out the red display of my Kia car stereo. The screen appears blank, even when it is on full intensity/contrast. I believe this is due to the polarization, but am not sure. I rarely ever drive the car, so it's not a deal breaker.// SUMMARYI like the overall weight, and the feel of the bamboo arms. The hinges are a nice touch for me, make it feel a bit higher quality than just swing hinges.I received a free sample of this product to evaluate and provide an unbiased review.
