Way to sweet.
Ginger flavor is hard to find and brings no heat to the mix. Heat from ginger is like horseradish, it burns but then it stops so you can taste your next mouthful of food. These beets are VERY sweet with not much else flavor-wise. I see clove and ginger in the brine but taste very little of it. Some garlic would also have been good.

We like beets that have the taste, size and texture as the ones our Moms used to make on the farm,
These pickled beets are very good although I doubt we will switch from our usual brand which is slightly less sweet and offers bigger chunks w no onions.

Pickled Beets as appetizer!
This is my favorite pickle just for appetizer! It’s go very well with steak, pork chops or fried fish!
