When I was looking for one of these, I was a little hesitant with this one because of the lack of reviews. But none of the others did what this one did for the price, so I thought I'd take a chance on it.My one just arrived 11 days after ordering, so quite a bit faster than estimated. The first thing you'll notice is that it feels very substantial, which is always a good thing in a tamper. Adjusting either side is easy to figure out, and it doesn't feel like regular use is going to interfere with the depth you set it to. I'm always sceptical of a scale (used to set the depth) etched onto an item like this, but I've measured with a steel rule, and it seems to be accurate, or as close as you can reasonably expect when you're dealing with parts of a millimetre. The diameter is also pretty close to exactly 53mm. It remains to be seen how it will hold up to daily use over a long period of time, but my initial impressions are very good.If you're thinking of buying something like this, consider whether you just want a distributer, or whether you want the tamper too. You can buy a distributer for about £10 less, but personally I like the 2 in 1. The tamper that comes with the Sage Barista Express (which is what I have) is very lightweight. You can buy a more substantial tamper, and there are some good ones out there, but this has the advantage of you being able to set it to a particular depth to achieve a consistent tamp. That's going to give you a more consistent espresso, especially if you also weigh your beans in and espresso out to keep your ratio the same.UPDATE AUGUST 2023: It's now almost three years on, and it's still going strong. We use it for at least two coffees every day. At this stage, it's paid for itself many, many times over.

The media could not be loaded. This is much better than my old tamper and produces a smooth and level surface in the filter basket. The item is very heavy, easily adjusted, seems very well made. Looks smart, too. Ground coffee needs to be shaken off it after use, but that's probably unavoidable. I'm very happy with it.

Everything is perfect: nice fit in portafilter, 2 adjustable sides, good solid material, but laser engraving let me down. I could give 4.5 stars, but here is no option for that.

I wish I pushed the boat out and bought the NEOUZA 53mm Coffee Distributor & Tamper first. It's a great weight, looks and feels like a top quality tool. The ability to find and lock the optimal settings for both the distributor and and the tamper might make me a lazy home barista, but my coffee making has become much more consistent as a result.

Generally a shame that anything 53mm is more expensive than 58mm. Im a very beginner barista and was struggling to make any good tasting shots at all. This tool and barista milk are the best additions in how I prepare my espresso more consistently. You can adjust the depth of both sides which other versions of this tool don't allow. It arrived a lot quicker than expected after 10 days. Would recommend sending the money on this if you're struggling with consistency

Quality product double sided easy to adjust

The great thing about this distributor is that the middle circle part means that there is enough depth for you to extend both the four fan base and the tamper at the same time, without having to remove one of them in order to use the other one. This makes it much quicker to use than most other distributor tools, which involve unscrewing the tamper end in order to extend the four fan base, then unscrewing the four fan and screwing the tamper back on. This gadget can extend and hold both at the same time.

Great product well priced. Abominal delivery, no house number or name so Royal Mail could not deliver.
