Dockmate Anchor Buddy Anchor Line

This is a great anchor rope! Ignore other reviews that say it does not hold their boat in choppy warred. If you know how to anchor a boat this thing is awesome. Used it 4th of July weekend 2020 (busiest weekend in years) at Dale Hollow Lake TN at a boat in camp site. Keeps the boat off the “beach” in rough water and allows you to pull it back in for boarding. If anything this stretch rope takes the shock of waves off your anchor allowing it to hold better. All in all great product.

I've used the Anchor Buddy a dozen times so far and it works fine when in calm waters, but if there are any boats cruising past the shore, kicking up wakes, then this thing is marginal at best. The boat wakes pushed my boat out of position, but, once the water calmed down again, it pulled it back. But, not good if there are other boats moored nearby. I ended up buying another anchor with a standard chain/braided nylon rode. That setup works much better for me. No, I can't pull my boat to shore, but my boat stays put now.

This is a must have for any boater. This allows you to keep the boat off shore while you are on the beach. You do need a long rope to bring the boat back to shore. I have used these for the past 10 years and will continue to replace them as they wear out. They last about 5 years for me, the bungie wears out and it becomes just a regular rope again. The bungie is the key to make this product work. You must have this product if you want to keep your boat off the sand and rocks of the beach. AAAA Product.

The elastic Anchor Buddy system is a great way to anchor small boats in areas with lots of water weeds or high tides. It is much better than the traditional 'boat trolley' system that uses expensive double lengths of rope running through a pulley to pull the boat on and off the beach, and which often tangles in water weeds or on knots in the rope.My only suggestion is to use a 10'-15' length of line in the stern of your boat that attaches to the Anchor Buddy (which is hooked to an anchor). This allows you to pull the boat up on the beach without fighting the surprisingly-strong pull of the elastic Anchor Buddy. Once you are out of the boat, you can pull the extra line into the boat and clip the Anchor Buddy directly to a cleat on the transom, then let the system pull the boat off the beach out past the tide line.

Works well on a 32 foot boat. A little tricky in the wind.

It's great to tie down my boat. Makes it real easy cause of the elasticity.

For any small boat skipper this anchor buddy is the best. I am in an area of more than ten foot tides so I'm always needing to keep my boat off the beach. Anchor buddy is perfect. It lasts about two seasons and it's worth every penny.
