Electrowarmth M60Fld Queen Heated Mattress Pad is a very good product
We are using this Electrowarmth Queen heated mattress pad and everything went smoothly. The elastic sides fit easily around our 12 inch deep mattress and holds it snugly. The 2 wires that attach to the foot of the pad are located toward each of the outside edges and do not rub against our feet. All the wires were long enough to reach the wall plug at the head of the bed and to extend the controls to the nightstands at the sides of the head of the bed. As other reviewers commented, the controller backlight goes out after about 10 seconds, which means you can't look over at night to read the setting until you press a button to make the backlight come back on. You get used to it. There is an automatic feature which turns it on high for a short period of time to warm the bed when you first turn it on, so you can just select your final setting and leave it that way for the rest of your life. It has been working well, with nice even heat.

Decent quality
All good so far. A few weeks in and it already seems like an improvement over other popular brands sold here on Amazon. I've had to buy a new one every year because of failure after failure mainly from the controller on other brands. Usually the thermal fuse would fail, have to be replaced, and the controllers would often over heat. Again and again. This one is constantly cool as a cucumber. Works well. I'll assume the components aren't super cheap as in the other brands I've had to endure. Well built from the outside, simple, and 10 settings is nice.I will definitely update any failure and how to fix if it happens, but I've read that this is a USA manufacturer and will respond to failed units. Let's hope we don't have to test that as well.

Great (and so far) reliable heating
I've had a few electric blankets and one other heated mattress pad. My prior heated mattress pad was nothing but an annoyance. If I accidentally put my foot anywhere near the plug (which was easy to do since it was almost 5 or 6 inches up from the very foot of the bed) the controller would error out, requiring you to unplug it and plug it back in to reset the error. Sometimes it would error all on its own (or possibly my cat jumped on it). Also, it didn't heat the bottom part of the bed at all where the feet are which really is the worst part for me because by the time I get in bed, my feet are cold.Thankfully that is NOT the case with this heated mattress pad. The heat goes pretty much edge to edge (left/right), and from the very bottom of the bed, right up to about the upper chest/shoulders area. Yes the plug is technically up where you can kick it, but it's at the very end of the bed (not 5 inches up like on my previous well known brand) and more toward the corner. It doesn't bother me nearly as much as my previous mattress pad. Also, so far, the mattress pad just works, ALL NIGHT. I haven't yet had it error on me once where as my previous one I had to practically make an effort to avoid kicking the plug all night long. Granted I haven't had to wash it yet, but I can't use that excuse with my previous one as it error from day one.My only real issues with it are the fit, and it doesn't have a preheat function. Yes, I measured my bed to make sure I was getting the right fit. The fit issue is kind of a two part problem. The elastic fabric part that is used to wrap around the mattress isn't quite big enough to really get a firm grip on my mattress. Also, the mattress pad itself is kinda slick on the mattress so if you toss/turn through the night you could eventually start to loosen the pad and it'll kind of bunch up a little under the fitted sheet. As for the preheat function (which the directions says it turns on at a higher heat than the set heat, but I don't notice it), it's not a deal breaker but it was a really nice feature I got very used to with my previous mattress pad (when it didn't error out while pre-heating). It was nice being able to set the pre-heat on 10 or so minutes prior to getting into bed and having a very toasty warm bed to get in which will either automatically drop back down to your previous setting, or you can hit the up/down buttons and it would return to your previous setting. As mentioned earlier, the directions mention something about not having to turn it on at a higher setting as it will actually warm the mattress pad at a higher setting prior to going back down. I haven't really noticed this. I tried it while getting ready for bed once and if it was doing it, it wasn't very noticeable. Also some have mentioned the controls being difficult to manage in the middle of the night since you need to press a button for anything to light up. Personally I prefer that. My previous one was ALWAYS lit in some way. The power button was always lit even when it wasn't on, and when it was on the Down was a bright blue and the up was a bright red and was horribly bright. Who ever thought having a bright blue light shining in your eyes (or cast all over your entire bedroom) at night was a brilliant idea must have either never used the product or can sleep through anything.I've only had it for about 2-3 weeks so I'll update this if anything comes up.

Better than Sunbeam, and
I had a dual control Sunbeam heated mattress pad that failed after a few years of use. When I searched Amazon for a replacement, I found this Electrowarmth mattress pad with a similar price point. However, when I found out that Electrowarmth is made in the USA, I decided to give it a try instead of just getting an exact-replacement Sunbeam pad.I am very glad I did.The Electrowarmth pad has dual controls, like the Sunbeam, but each control goes to its own plug at the bottom of the pad. The Sunbeam had a single attachment point on the pad. The single plug had two output cables that went to the left and right sides, but were not well identified as to which control was for which side. Several times with the Sunbeam, I would get the left side control and the right side control switched, and then my wife would turn on what she thought was her control but my side would heat up. Since she likes a warmer bed than I do, I would cook while she was chilly. The Electrowarmth warms up the mattress quickly. When I turn on my control, my bed side is comfy within 5 minutes. The Sunbeam heater would take at least 15 minutes to heat up to a comfortable level. The Electrowarmth controller seems very reliable. The Sunbeam controllers had a habit of displaying "FF" on both screens at least once a week. When the FF code appears on the Sunbeam controllers, the wall plug must be removed and reinserted to clear the error message.A word about customer service: One of my controllers had some sort of electrical problem so that it would not turn on. This problem appeared about a week after the pad was installed. I wrote to Electrowarmth and explained the problem. They sent out a replacement controller within 24 hours, and at no extra cost to me, not even for shipping. I did not have to return the defective controller (which includes the cable), either.I am very pleased with the Electrowarmth mattress pad and can recommend it.

Really like this item
Love that I can warm up my bed and it can be done by 1/2 or the entire bed. Easy to understand the system too..

great for Canadian winters
Ahhh, great for Canadian winters. Had electric blanket before, only lasted two years. This cover seems more resistant . We enjoy it.

I would love an auto shut off after two hours
Cover works as advertised. I gave it four stars because the first one we ordered stopped working after two weeks of use. The control on the left side stopped working which meant no heat on one side.Five stars to amazon for replacing ASAP.I wish the control lit up when you pressed the buttons. At night I never know if I’ve actually turned the cover off. Especially if I’m doing it while I’m half asleep.I also wish there was a short term auto shut off. The blanket shuts off after 10 hours. I would love an auto shut off after two hours. I like the blanket on while I fall asleep, but keep waking up hours later, and I’m cooking. If you want your bed warm when you climb in, give the blanket a good 20+ minutes to warm up. Anything less and it will be chilly. The reason we bought this was because my sunbeam electric blanket was hot the first winter, and after that, it was barely warm. I’m hoping this cover doesn’t have this same issue.Overall it’s very well made and does exactly what it promises to do.When our first blanket stopped working I contacted the manufacturer. They offered to replace the control. I preferred to deal with amazon as they replaced the entire blanket, at no cost (and all shipping was covered). But the manufacturer was still very helpful and replied quickly to my email.I do not feel any wires. We have a fitted sheet on it and it’s like the cover isn’t there. Our bed is lovely and warm thanks to this product. I would buy again. I am very hopeful it’s this warm next (and future) winters. Buy this product with confidence.

Works well and we are happily living through our Canadian winter
Seems a bit cheaply made considering the price tag. Works well and we are happily living through our Canadian winter!
