I've got this tarp in the smallest and largest sizes. The delta in weight between this and most any other ultra-light tarp is minimal unless you're looking at dyneema (which will cost you well over $100 more than these will... Usually closer to $200 more). By contrast, a similarly sized 'high end' tarp will be within just a few grams and cost around 5x-9x as much and there isn't any difference in quality that I can tell. Moreover, for the cost these are nearly disposable.The small one rolls up tiny. It can literally be packed into an inflatable pillow's case; that's how I have it stored right now. Think a half-sized soda can. The largest one can be rolled up so tight that it compresses to the size of a Red Bull can.They shed water just like they should, and the coating seems particularly robust. The material is quite good, and while the gussets don't have really large reinforcements, they're plenty adequate. The loops are decent nylon webbing; if anything, that's the weak point on the tarp but if you really want a serious bite you'll lash your line in a fold anyway.I do wish it had a few loops in the center, so that you could string a ridgeline through the loops rather than just running it draped over the ridgeline, but few tarps have that feature, and frankly it makes waterproofing a little trickier with more fail points.This is a surprisingly quality tarp, at an even more surprising pricepoint. I highly recommend these to anyone.

Great product

The 7’x7’ claimed to be 3.88 ounces and after getting it today, was shocked at how heavy it is. Weighed it 3 separate times and came in at 14 ounces. If weight is a factor -do not buy.

This tarp is super for short to mid back packing trips where things may be a bit unpredictable

Well this product is very reasonably priced for the price and the specs on this tarp I'm a little cautious but what the heck I bought it anyway. I don't always make the best decisions but I feel like this was money well spent great quality for the price I am incredibly happy with the way the color the size the pack ability and the strength of this product I would say if you're looking for lightweight not too huge and don't want to break the bank this is the tarp for you I used it with the hammock and it seemed to work great in a diamond pattern good luck hope you enjoy this product

This was purchased for our trip to the Dry Tortugas National Park trip. There is a limited amount of weight allowed on the boat so we wanted to pack light. My wife and I are both smaller people with my wife at 5’4” and myself at 5’6”. That being said it was large enough for the two of us to be quite comfortable. Setting up was easy and fast. Packing it up and stuffing it in the backpack was easy too. The included rain fly comes off easily for maximum air flow or both doors opened works fine. This was a small tent that packed well, was large enough for two, and didn’t break the bank.

I went backpacking a week ago and didn’t have a ground tarp for my tent. I borrowed one of my families older ones and it was a disaster. The only one that fit the tent was super heavy. When I got back I looked for this immediately! It’s the perfect size, it comes in a pouch, it works as a hammocking tarp and a ground tarp and it’s super light weight. The material is high grade waterproof rip stop. I can’t wait to take this backpacking. And as a bonus the color is awesome and blends in more with the outdoors!
