I was waiting bit longer to write review about this one because this a 3rd on i bought from amazon and other 2s been completely usless woth the software glitch.Now this ona work perfectly and now just before i get home my garage door is open and i can go in straight with my motorbike. I cannot vouch for longevity, but it works extremely well.It can be programmed by eWe or Smart Life and I chose the latter. I would seriously advise setting up in your hobby room and being absolutely sure that it is fully working and recognised and operated by Alexa before installing in your garage. No need to connect anything externally to set it up and test it, but it is interesting to have the magnet to hand check Smart Life's detection of open and shut.An ohm meter connected to the output will indicate a contact closure of about 1 second on open or close command, which is certainly perfect for my thirty year old Henderson door closing system!The usual rigmarole with setting up: fine with my BT Hub; it finds the 2.4Ghz output using the AP search: be patient!having found that Smart Life drives it perfectly, you then have to tackle Alexa! She don't do doors and locks! But a "Routine" will sort it and I am now happy with "Computer, open garage door"- I refuse to personify a computer hence Alexa renamed to Computer! Lots of info own how to set up Alexa on line, but avoid "SimpleCommands.Zendesk" - utter drivel and it doesn't work with Apple! You will struggle more with Alexa than the device!You are well advised to buy this version from China (and it was much faster than advertised) for three times less than from the UK!Smartly presented in a neat box and with adequate instructions! I love the fact that, every time I operate the door, Smart Life pings my phone with the door status. The door sensor has sufficient cable to extend the length of my garage and the magnet is stuck securely to my galvanised steel door with double sided tape (clean it well with alcohol first).Progress intelligently and be assured of success; it is not for beginners and nor is most Smart stuff!

Very easy to install and comes with everything you need, 3m pads, screws, well made, really impressed for the price, seems very good quality, smart life app integration literally took seconds. Can now throw the old remote away. Great purchase.

Fitted this to our NICE automatic gate opener and set up with the Smart Life app, and Alexa using a routine. Absolutely brilliant, as I can now just tell Alexa to "open the gate" and have it open automatically when I get within 150 metres of home. I haven't worked out how to get Alexa to only open it if I give a correct PIN, but that's not a big deal for us as there's no way someone could shout from the gate to the Alexa devices in the house. For a cheap solution, this is absolutely perfect.

Getting this setup with my roller door was very difficult. Door control maker had no idea how to do it. Passed it on to another who never bothered to reply. In the end I worked my way through the control circuit board and isolated two possible connection points. Taking a big chance I connected this control and hoped for the best. It actually worked! So now works with an app and Alexa. Jon done.
