BALEAFWomen's 5" Workout Shorts Gym Running Shorts Athletic with Liner High Waistband Quick Dry Sports Zipper Pockets

(About me: 4'11", about 115 lbs, 26" waist, 39" hips. I ordered these with the intent to wear them as running shorts.)My measurements usually land somewhere between sizes Small and Medium, but I opted for a Small and have been very satisfied with the fit.I had a little bit of a hiccup with my first order. I ordered S, and the label on the outside of the package did say S, but the shorts inside were L. I had to return them, but did end up with the correct size afterward.The logo on the front and the 'BALEAF' on the back are reflective.The side pockets are a little more forward-facing than I was expecting--I thought they would be a little more towards the side seams, but it's not as though they're directly on top of the thigh or anything. Heavier objects may pull the pocket down past the hem, but that's unsurprising considering the stretch and flexibility of the fabric. I wouldn't use these pockets for actual exercise, as contents would be way too loose, and there's no zip closure. However, these pockets would be perfect for post-run errands or post-race festivities.The back zip pocket does fit an iPhone 11 with a case--it's kind of a tight stretch, but the pocket does zip closed. I tried running with my phone in this pocket though and there is a lot of bounce, which was both uncomfortable and a chafe risk. This pocket is better suited for ID or a credit card.The hidden pocket at the front of the waistband held my car key securely.As far as storage goes: I still take my flipbelt with me to carry my phone and keys on long runs.Even so, these are some of the comfiest shorts I own. The 5" length hides the worst of my cellulite and prevents my thighs from rubbing together. The liner stays put. The waistband is wide and sits right below my navel, no muffin top. I spilled water on myself and it was dried within minutes. Butt sweat doesn't show.I've washed them a couple times now without issue (cold gentle cycle, tumble dry low).These are my new favorite running shorts. I bought the grey (which I think is a little lighter than the product image) and purple colors.

I'm 5'6", 150 lbs with muscular legs and butt, and these shorts are the best I've found for running so far. I've had problems with other shorts riding up during runs but these don't do that.The good things:I have a small waist compared to my lower body, so the elastic cinching waist is perfect for me.The material is so soft and breathable, and the 5" length is perfect- flattering but still modest.The back pocket is perfect for keys, cards, or a really small phone. (Edit to add, my Samsung galaxy 5 fits because of the generous stretch! Even better!)The downsides:The elastic in the liner is just a little too tight. For longer distances (like 7+ miles) it gets uncomfortable. So I just cut out the front part of the elastic band - problem solved!The pockets don't zip up, and sometimes they stick out a bit when I'm wearing them.Overall, I'm satisfied with this brand. I know I'll never find the perfect shorts but I'm ordering another pair of these because they're pretty close.

Legs are a bit tight as a running short, if you have skinny-ish legs they will be ok. Ordered a large ~ I like a roomy short tied at the waist (or spandex) for running and the liner was too big. Got a medium, liner fits but legs are a tight as a running short. I'm 5'8" 145 and wear an 8. The waist band is not all elastic just a strip of elastic in the band. All in all I like them for Pickleball or hanging out, just not for running.

I am 5'3", 170lbs and I purchased the Large. I wear a 12/14 in pants and was going to purchase the XL (which I usually do on Amazon since most things tend to run on the small size) but the Large fits perfectly!! I was looking for shorts to wear to Disney but did NOT want a pair that would ride up in between my legs all day. These shorts are the PERFECT length! I'm short, but these are a great length on me. The material is also VERY light which will make them perfect for the Florida heat and will dry easily if they get wet. Highly recommend. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love these shorts!

I started running again a few months ago and was looking for longer shorts that would be comfortable in the summer heat. The sizing chart on these was all over the place but ultimately I chose based on my hip measurement (an XL, I currently wear a size 14 jean for comparison). The high waist is really comfortable for someone like me who is losing weight. So far they're holding up well besides a little pilling inside the thighs after several 4-5 mile workouts, but that's not unexpected based on my experience with other brands, and I now have a total of 3 pair to rotate throughout the week.

This waistband doesn't create muffin top and the length and cut of the egs helps reduce your thighs' ability to eat them :). I now have them in two colors and I will get a few more. The material is kind of thin (the red is a little see through but the lining is black) which is great for running, etc.Flattering on thick thighs -- wear the shorts!

I bought these for walking and needed pockets for my phone. The shorts themselves are VERY comfortable and do not ride up. However, the pocket with my phone hangs down below the leg of the shorts. I couldn’t justify taking away a star for that, since the shorts themselves fit great.

I work out at home and play pickleball at a club. I was going to use these for both, but the liner inside the shorts is black and you can totally see through the red shorts. It looks like I have black underwear on. I like the shorts and will probably order them in darker colors so I can use them in public.

These shorts are light weight and work perfect for the gym. The front pockets gape a bit so of that is an issue you might want to size up a bit.

Very comfortable shirts and good sized pocket at the back. I wanted a slightly longer short so these were just what I was after. Very good quality
