For the price you pay, this is a good whisk.
This balloon whisk deserves 5-stars. The problem with many silicon whisks is that the silicon material used to make the whisking wires is too soft, too flexible, and gives too much such that the whisking effectiveness is substantially reduced. This problem is especially prominent when whisking a thicker batter. It'd be like swimming through molasses. This Oxo silicone whisk does not have the same problem -- or I should say, the least amount of give (flex) compared to other brands. And it only gives slightly when compared to the Oxo Balloon WIRE whisk made out of stainless steel. Why do you want to get a silicon whisk, you ask? For two primary reasons: 1) safer on your teflon or ceramic coated pots, pans, and dishes. And 2) food sticks to silicon wire slightly less than stainless. For most people #2 reason above is not apparent or perhaps not that important, and people are generally correct. However, if you'd observe side by side (take two balloon whisks one made of stainless and one silicone) and whisk up crepe batter, you will find the batter drip off the silicone whisk ever so faster, quicker, cleaner than the comparison stainless whisk. Won't make or break the batter or make or break the recipe, but hey, it's an observable fact and it may be important to some and totally irrelevant to others. As for reason #1 above, yes, you have to own a good silicone whisk if you own teflon or ceramic coated cookware. I think the reason is pretty self explanatory. You just don't take metal to teflon. Well, like I said, the silicone material used here is pretty sturdy. It is very comparable (in terms of results and whisking power) to the stainless variant. I'd have to whisk a bit stronger to compensate for the softer material but, again, not significantly so that I'd complaint. Whereas the other products on the market I'd say "nahh, tooo soft.. too difficult to whisk up!" This whisk is dishwasher safe. The huzzle is stainless, and the grip is comfortable, nonslip. and smooth. 5 Stars given because the product delivered: 1) Function 2) Durability 3) Ease of use and clean 4) Balance of function & elegance and 5) Total, Overall balance of everything mentioned above against the price you pay. For the price you pay, this is a good whisk.

Excellent Quality!
I could not be more pleased with this whisk. I found this after throwing out yet another silicone whisk that was crumbling and falling apart. I decided it was time to invest in a better quality version, rather than just continuing to pick up cheap ones every other month. This is a vastly better whisk and, as best I can tell, this one is going to last for a while. Before ordering however I would recommend that you consider or reconsider the size of whisk you want. I opted for the 11 inch version because I have a gas stove top and like to keep my hands as far away from the hot flame as possible. I should have gone with the smaller choice, as everything about this whisk is larger, not just the handle. I regularly cook for 2-4 people and this whisk is very big, almost too big, for the amount of food I prepare. Unless you are cooking for a large family I believe you'll be happiest with the smaller choice.

I WHISK I had this sooner
Typical OXO product. High quality. Durable. Purchased for sole purpose of making Christmas candy to which I had to mix 7lbs of sugar with 3 cups of Karo Syrup so needed a strong whisk to get the job done. The silicone handled the 320 degrees of candy. Worked like a charm! Several cycles in dishwasher without issue. Certainly worth the purchase.

Good whisk
Very good whisk. Comfortable handle. I wish the whisk was a tiny bit stiffer, but that's my personal preference and not a reflection on the product. I use mine mostly for making scrambled eggs and it works great.

Well made design and construction for a simple tool
I got it to make a roux in my enameled pot without marking it like a metal one would. It's a bit flimsy at the end of the largest whip, but it is enough to get the job done. It is actually very comfortable to me, unlike the thin metal handles on other whisks i have. I throw it in the dishwasher on the top rack. But the whisks aren't all bunched up at the end so it doesn't hold clumps of food. It's a good design.

Great size and quality.
This is exactly what I was looking for, not too small or too large. It's a nice medium size. There are a lot of coated wires which makes it a better quality and that the wires stay in the handle. I've had many that start coming apart out of the handle. The comfort of the grip is really nice as well.

good, reliable whisk. Won't damage bowls, pots, or pans.
After years of using wire whisks that fall apart and scrape and scratch my pans, It's nice to finally have a product that has so far proven to be durable, gentle, and easy to clean. The handle feels great in the hand and prevents fatigue when you're furiously trying to whip something up. I've purchased a couple more of these as gifts for friends that were struggling with crummy whisks with thin handles and loops that would constantly pop out. I would definitely buy more of these and look forward to experimenting with other OXO whisks in different materials and sizes.

9" is small but AWESOME
Yes, it is a whisk. I have owned many. I asked for one for Christmas that would be safe for my non stick cookware. It is small. But it works. I use it to make scrambled eggs in the pan. I have a nylon whisk and it is a pain in the a$$ to clean after eggs. You can't run it through the dishwasher because it won't come clean. This whisk is non-stick or magical! Cooked eggs come right off. I even left it with cooked eggs on it for two days just to see if they'd come off. Literally rinsed off. I have time back in my life!! And absolutely no chance these are going to damage my new non-stick pans! Size wise the 9" is like a mini whisk. I may order the 11" too. I do not like to buy the expensive utensils. Most of the time there is no point. Just paying for a name. But this whisk is worth the price and the fact I am not spending 5 minutes scrubbing each individual whisky thing. Splurge buy this whisk especially if you cook eggs like I do! It is magic!

I've always used the steel whisks before, which usually break and you stab your self on the exposed wire. No chance of that happening with this. Very well made, the handle is a good size with a good grip. Whisks perfectly without scratching the bowl. Washes fine

Klare Kaufempfehlung.
