Works Great With Slight Modification
This antenna is receive only. You cannot transmit on it.With that in mind, if you want to experiment listening to SDR radio, this is the antenna for you. I found the wire loop that came with the antenna was flimsy and would not stay in the round. It wanted to be more oval than round. A thicker gauge wire would solve that problem. However, I modified the loop by using a child's hula hoop with #12 AWG THHN wire inside and that solved the problem. I actually found a considerable improvement in the reception. So, bottom line, with the exception of the original wire loop, it is well made and works as advertised. Highly recommended.

Great AM/HF Spectrum Antenna
It was kind of difficult to get the floppy thing mounted to a PVC pipe. I cut a couple grooves with a hacksaw into the end of the pipe to hold the free end, figured out where to mount the balun then just hung it up inside my garage to give it a shot. Happened to be a good night for skip was picking up Japan, Australia, China and some fading South America stuff. The spot I hung it from has all kinds of metal near it and it is really a noisy environment but wow it works great. It is a powered antenna 70ma I think, but cool thing is it has a USB port to power it. Anyway can't say enough good things about this antenna, one of those cases when the China product gamble worked and the price is just fantastic. Other than getting it mounted, you will love it.

It actually works
I wrote a long, nice write up on this. Complete with pics of mounts and FT-8 receive data for 80 and 40 meters. The review was rejected, can't figure out why. Only complaint with antenna is bias-t has a 25mhz noise, powering it with my sdr units output has solved this. Other than the ridiculas review rejection, good deal.

Works well
I have listened to people as far away as California. Seems to work well in all the HF bands.

This antenna works!
I received a 5W 14,500 km WSPR signal from southwest Australia and a0.01W 1,926 km signal as well with this antenna!

Really awesome niche product!
I was looking for something along this line , but anything transmit capable started at around 300 bux.It was a very pleasant surprise to find how well it works on the AM broadcast band and I've had pretty goodluck with it on shortwave broadcasts all the way up through 25 meter band so far...

Well worth the money.
Very pleased with this active antenna, I have it connected to a Kenwood R5000 receiver. It’s very sensitive and discreet and easy to connect - once you have the right cable adapter. It uses that new mini coax cable which requires a special adapter which you will never find locally but is available on Amazon.

Brand new to DXing and SDR and this antenna was THE answer
I am beyond satisfied with this antenna. I recently dove into the world of SDR, which is easy enough for things like police scanners but I was having a miserable time getting into HF and SW DXing. Nothing I did would get me anything at those lower frequencies (even in direct sampling Q or using a ham it up). I tried many iterations of antennas and nothing really gave me much until I got this up and running and HOLY CATS it's night and day. Even without really knowing what I'm doing yet, I'm already getting broadcasts from hundreds or even thousands of miles away! This was the answer to my problems and I'm very happy with my purchase. And I even live in an area with a heavy AM interference due to one of the local towers within a couple miles of my house. What I did for this was on my deck (which is like 10 feet above ground), I raised another 20 feet of 1 1/2 PVC pipe to act as a mast and mounted this to the top of it. I also ran bare copper wire around the mast and connected to ground since PVC can be staticky. For this antenna I run through an SMA lightning suppressor (which is also grounded) and then into the house into an rtl-sdr dongle and it works GREAT. Highly recommend this purchase to anyone who wants to play on the lower frequencies.
