I wanted to give this a few month test drive before I left a review. I’ve had it for about 3 months now. I open the safe almost daily as I keep my medications, wallet, and other daily use items in it. The fingerprint scanner works great. Sometimes you have to give it a few tries but make sure your finger is clean and you’re holding your finger in the same position as when you set it up. I love that it makes an alarm when my kids try to guess the password to sneak their Xbox cords back 😂 I love that it lets me use a complicated 8 digit passcode as well as multiple fingerprints. The inside is quite roomy and has a small shelf you can use as well which most other safes don’t have. I spent days researching safes before choosing this one and I’m really happy I did.The Good:-it always opens with correct fingerprint or passcode-it never jams-never glitches-lets you use multiple fingerprints-lets you choose a short or long passcode-It has a removable shelf-it’s quite roomy-has a hidden key spot with spare keys-really easy to set up-clear instructionsBAD:-if you’re finger isn’t positioned close to the same as when you registered your fingerprint it won’t work (meaning don’t use your finger sideways and hope it still knows it’s you)-no app to connect toIf you’re looking to buy a good sturdy safe with multiple opening options for a cheap price this one fits the bill. (I own two other safes and this one is my favorite).

Lets be honest... If you buying a safe this size all you'er looking to do is lock up your valuables and slow a thief down. If someone wants what you have bad enough. They will figure out a way to walk away with the whole safe.If you are needing super security buy a 300lb safe or get a safety depot box.The key with a safe this size is to mount it properly. Make sure you secure to studs or floor or all of the above. A safe this size is easy to hide. This safe is not waterproof or fire proof. Its is made to deter folks from walking way with your stuff... It is what it is!I have 2 of these... The key pads work great as does the battery back up. Key works even better. The finger print security feature is hit or miss (mostly hit) If your hands are dry it tends to not work... I have found moistening the finger helps. I have never experienced other peoples fingerprints opening either of my safes... though I will keep trying and edit this review if things change.Hey... for 100 bucks? It serves it purpose.

The good: seems sturdy, has three locking bolts, and appears to have an external battery backup device.The bad: six holes in the body with no way to fill them other than with four undescribed anchor bolts. Directions are incomplete and wrong in many ways. For example, the directions tell you to press a red button for many configuration options; there is no red button. It's a green button. That could just be splitting hairs, but the directions also lack any mention, much less description about how to use, the aforementioned apparent battery backup device, or the aforementioned mounting bolts, and several other functions and features that would be considered essential to learn about the device prior to trusting your valuables to it.If you're good at figuring out how things work without instructions, then this might be a useful safe for you. Also keep in mind it is definitely not waterproof nor fireproof because of the six holes drilled into it, without any provided plugs or stoppers.

I see some bad reviews because the fingerprint sensor will allow the door to open for anyone. I think they are experiencing this because the manual is so poorly written. There is a step listed *after* inputting new fingerprints that actually has to be done before the fingerprint step. It worked for me, but was needlessly complicated due to the bad manual.

I bought this safe for its size and features. The steel is thicker than most safes and it has three locking bolts rather than two. It is roomy plus it has a removable shelf. There is a small LED light that lights up the interior though it would help mainly in total darkness. It has three ways to open safe, code, fingerprint and key. All work perfectly. The locking mechanism operates smoothly and crisply. This safe is worth the price which is very competitive.

Horribly written instruction manual! It made the set up much more difficult than necessary. No diagram, parts were described incorrectly, steps out of order. We never could get a combination passcode set, so will make do with the key and fingerprint reader. Nice little safe - clear concise instructions would have earned it a better rating.

Was purchased as a gift... I like that it is heavy and seems well made. Has fingerprint entry and numeric keypad plus keys. Didn't realize it also had an alarm but it went off a couple times when the kids were messing with it. The alarm isn't too loud, but will get someone nearby's attention.

The safe is a great value and has a lot of features, but the finger print reader is hit OR miss. Rather the key pad (numeric input) is the best method to open.
