I wanted a shallow planter for my kitchen bay window, but wanted something as light weight as possible given the awkward reach for it whenever I need to move it. I also wanted something that looked of an organic and natural material.The bowl I ordered is the 12" charcoal.This is not only lightweight, but it's beautiful too. Unless you touch it, you'd swear it's stone, ceramic or concrete.I drilled a large drain hole in the bottom which was easy to do using a large drill bit. It's plastic and not stone, so I didn't need to use a special ceramic bit. I drilled a small pilot hole first, then upped the size to a larger bit.I just drilled one nickel-sized hole in the middle then laid a pebble over that hole before pouring in the potting soil. The drilling process was so easy though, that it would take no time at all if you wanted to add more holes in the bottom.It's still an awkward reach across the sink into my bay window sill when I need to move this, but at least I'm dealing with much less weight than I would if I'd used a ceramic or concrete planter.

I love it. It has an “ artisan” appearance to it, without weighing a ton. Also, If it were something like concrete, I’d be concerned about cracking or breaking.For the price and my purposes (wanted to create a small relaxing water feature that would assimilate with nature easily) I’m perfectly happy with my purchase!

I like everything about this pot (drilled a drainage hole), it's a good size, is the shape, quality and color I was looking for.

Wow for the price these are high quality planter pots. At 12" they are small, but deep. Wish they made them in 18" and 20" and they should have drainage hole. Simple to drill a hole in the bottom so that you don't get standing water on the roots.But stiil for the price strong buy.

Not to heavy, not to light. Ordered it for a fake flower arrangement on my garden table. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I purchased this flower pot to transplant a large set of hens and chicks. It worked out very well. It looks much better in a larger pot. The pot looks like it belongs outside. Fits in with the trees and other flowers in my yard. It does have a drain hole in the bottom. It's very sturdy and is advertised to be used inside or outside.
