I waited several months before reviewing these containers because I wanted to be able to supply more information then just the first impression and I'm glad I waited.These are very nice containers. I like the way they lock shut and the corner "vents" seem like a great idea (I was able to fill one container almost to the top with flour and with the corner vent open I didn't get a "puff" of flower coming out as I put the lid on). However, they don't keep air and moisture out.I use desiccant packs with indicator beads in all of my dry goods. When I received these containers I had my usual flour in a standard Rubbermaid (red lid) container and I put my back-up flour in one of these containers and tossed in a couple of desiccant packs on top. When I went to bake a couple of weeks ago, the packs in my Rubbermaid container had not changed color, but those that I placed in this container had. Thinking it was a fluke, I replaced the packs and actually doubled the number of packs (from 3- 5gram packs to 6 5-gram packs) and closed it back up. Then yesterday, I used the last of my flour from the Rubbermaid container (original 3 5-gram desiccant packs were just starting to indicate) and in this container all of the packs had fully indicated -- again. So, now I'm transferring my flour back to my old container, ordering new Rubbermaid containers for my back stock, and I'll be using these for short-term storage that doesn't need to stay airtight.They look good, and work for basic, daily needs, but not for storing dry goods that need to stay dry for more than a week or two.

Not flimsy, medium thickness, soft plastic that won't crack easily. Snaps closed easily and airtight. With a wet towel the the writing on the lable easily comes off to re-lable for a change in contents, or correct a mistake! They stack nice. Medium container holds 3 lbs of Chai Seeds. Large container holds 4-5 bags/pounds of legumes. Small containers are perfect for teas, sunflower seeds, or candy snack, nice size.I liked the set so well I ordered a second set for my rices and other nuts.Awesome value at $20 for a set of 6.

Previously, my kids cereals would go stale before they could even get close to finishing it. Now they are able to finish a whole box of cereal, we are no longer wasting food and saving money.These containers are easy to open and they also look great out on my counters. I thought about putting them in my pantry, but since they stack upon each other perfectly and look nice, I kept them out where they would be more accessible. They definitely help keep me more organized and my kids are happy they can serve themselves with these.I think the black label stickers that come with this set is really cute. It also comes with a white chalk marker so you can write on them. When you need to change the label you just wipe the chalk pen off with a wet towel and when dry you can relabel. The black labels are also removable if you wish to take them off.

I live in a coastal state and our yard is sand, so unfortunately ants were becoming a problem. I also live in a small rental and the rack that these are sitting on is all of the pantry space I have. These containers help with both of those issues. The set you see beside this one in my first photo was a gift and just didn't hold enough, this set however holds a lot, I found this and very happy with it. The medium container holds about 4 pounds of rice. The small container is holding an entire can of cocoa powder ( I dont remember if it was a 16 oz can or 32 oz can of powder). One of the large containers is holding 33 gallon sized tea bags, the other is holding 4 bags of stuffing mix. The lids latch securely and easily, I haven't had an issue with the lids being hard to get on. Over all I am very happy with these, and glad I ordered 2 sets. They free up so much space on my shelf and seemed to get rid of ants the first day. The last note I have is I have they really are leak proof. As you can see in the video I added water to them to test it, as dry foods are less likely to leak than wet. I didn't buy them to store wet foods so I wanted to test that.

If you bake or brew or whatever a lot of the ingredients you get kind of looks alike. Or comes to you in a plastic bag. Sometimes even a zip lock. Not very secure. So these containers can not just store your ingredients for long periods of time but the labels help keep track of what is inside. Sometimes that's easy to see. You can't mistake brown rice and oatmeal. But sometimes corn sugar and other types of sugar...well, they look like sugar. And you don't want to brew with the wrong type or bake with the wrong type. So this will help greatly keeping you ingredients, and kitchen, in some kind of order.

These containers feel well-made and sturdy. The lids fit very snugly and appear to be air-right. The cereal has stayed fresh and tasty in them for two weeks now so far. The thinner side also makes the containers fit perfectly in your hand while pouring cereal from them and makes it easy for my kids to pour their own bowls now. I love that my kids can see what kind of cereal there is in each now and I can quickly and easily assess when I need to buy more. It's easily fit into your refrigerator, freezer or cupboard which enables you to get the kitchen organized and frees up space in the pantry. This was the perfect addition to my pantry organization project and I will likely buy more very soon!
