makes a great gift for a kid.
I got this for my 14-year-old granddaughter and she loved it. She found it very easy to use.

Very cool and easy to use!
This microscope is the coolest. No more the days of fitting things under a scope and looking through a little hole while scrunching one eye pretending to see what your kid sees and saying COOL! when you really saw nothing at all. The screen on this thing is awesome, the whole family can see the disgusting thing your 10 year old put under there, a dead fly, a squished lizard, you name it. You'll see it with this cool device! Loved it.

Great little tool for the curious mind
Got it for my son and he had a blast with it going around and looking at different materials of things around the house. The slides are sharp! So be very cautious when handling them. The picture quality is great! With the adjustment knob, it’s very, precise I guess I could say. You need to dial in exactly to get a good quality picture. But it’s not difficult by any means to get the right focus.

Every household needs one
The media could not be loaded. This has provided so much entertainment for our whole family. It was a gift for our 11yr old but we all enjoy it. I did dock a star because it has 2 major flaws. Flaw #1: it is hard to get great pictures when using it out of the stand. Even as an adult, so many pics come back blurry, even when I stabilize my elbows and hold as still as possible. Flaw#2 the focus knob does not stay put. You can literally see it spinning backward after you set it in place. (Not sure if ours is defective or if they all do that. I need to contact seller.) For $100 I expect a little higher quality. However, we still love this microscope and highly recommend it. The card it comes with holds a lot of photos....bonus! (Photos are: tie, sand dollar, butterfly face, butterfly wing)

You can make your own slides of something small BUT NOT LIVING THINGS!!!
This was a birthday gift for my 8-yr-old grandson. He was amazed at everything he could view with this microscope -- like his nails and his hair (and his Dad's hair). He said the slides in this set were also amazing. The "zooming in" feature was kind of tricky but his Dad figured it out. He is still enjoying looking at objects with this microscope a month later.

Excellent kids microscope!
Great gift for my granddaughter's 5th birthday! So much easier to use than the non-digital microscope I used with my first grade students. Well worth the additional cost!

Perfect and easy to use!
Got this for my 7 year old who loves to explore and look at rocks. It is easy enough that he can use it on his own. And so far it seems durable and has good quality picture.
