The motherboard this was installed in did not technically need it
caution is advices with these. A molex connecor can provide some heavy amperage. If the board tries to draw too much, the plastic can melt and worse. I only installed it for a bit more potential stability without overclocking. Less resistance passing through an extra set of wires theoretically saves a bit of energy while providing a more stable connection.If your overclocking or using a demanding board, it may be prudent to invest in a quality power supply capable of providing the needed wattages.

Fan cable works
Good cable not extremely long just not the highest of quality. I would definitely make sure it’s compatible with your power supply. It works with my 750w pure power be quiet.

Better quality than cheap eBay alternative
While it is a little more expensive than something you could pick up on eBay for cents on the dollar, this cable definitely has a better build quality than something you could find on eBay and I feel a lot more comfortable using this in my own computer.

El cable ayuda a que todo funcione correctamente.
Este cable es el componente que muchos pasan por alto, pero es muy importante tenerlo, se haga o no se haga overclock, ya que suministra parte de la energía que requiere el procesador. Internet dice que sólo tenerlo si se hace overclock, si no lo necesitará, simplemente el fabricante de la motherboard no pondría el pin donde se conecta.
