Daiso Japanese Rice Measuring Cup(180cc = 1 Gou Cup) Stainless Steel

Awesome cup. Lost my rice cup measuring cup and this was a amazing replacement. The measurements isnt a regular cup 8oz so funding the right one was important for me. A rice cup is 180ML. The requirements measurements in the imperial system is 3/4 cup but that isnt very accurate. The go rice cup is exact for rice cookers. The stainless steel cup makes it durable and easy to wash/rinse.

Works great when cooking rice in my rice cooker. The accuracy is great because I was using American measurements and not Japanese measurements so my rice was always off. The size is great for storage but very durable. I don’t see this ever needing to be replaced. Very easy to use and cheap for what you get! Highly recommend

It's a good rice cup for a rice cooker. Buy one. Much nicer than guessing.

I got tired of my measuring cups melting on my stove. This one is great, perfect for measuring rice or anything else that you need to measure.

I really like that this is made of stainless steel—it feels much more substantial and premium than a cheap plastic cup. The only real downside is that uncooked rice sticks to the inside of it, whereas it slides right out of plastic. Overall, it's a solid, durable cup that looks great, but it has that one minor drawback.

Started out with plastic cups that came with rice cookers, but lost one (see below) and wanted a replacement. Got this for only a slightly higher price and generally trying to minimize plastic. It's remarkably better than the plastic cups I'd used for years in a few different ways. - The relative weight and rigidity is nicer to handle when scooping rice. Cup doesn't flex with pressure and just feels more secure & balanced. Digs in satisfyingly and I'm guessing spills a little less on the way up. - Likewise feels more solid while leveling excess rice at the top. - It "taps" well, whether to level partially-filled rice or to empty contents fully. - I find fewer grains left sticking to the steel than plastic. - The non-translucent color and again weightiness makes it easy to see and not accidentally lose. I lost the previous plastic cup by leaving it in an empty rice bag which I disposed in the trash. I wouldn't expect the solid steel cup to slip by like that. It's also easier to locate the stainless cup in a big pile/sack of rice. - It's fairly easy to read and measure partial volumes. Translucent plastic cups are better for lining things up visually, but then again my old plastic cup is scratchy enough that it's not very much better. The stainless cup's markings are slightly more readable anyway. - Easy in the dishwasher. I only worry about accidentally dropping or crushing it out of shape. So far it has held up after a couple of normal drops in the kitchen (benchtop to vinyl floor). It's not fragile, it seems tough enough to take harsher treatment, but I wouldn't want to test its limits.

Very pleased. Expensive little piece of kit, but much easier to find when needed. Sturdy and is the perfect measurement for my rice cooker. Arrived quickly. Minimal packaging.
