Product Description MARX RELOADED is a cultural documentary that examines the relevance of German socialist and philosopher Karl Marx’s ideas for understanding the global economic and financial crisis. The recent crisis triggered the deepest global recession in 70 years and prompted the US government to spend more than 1 trillion dollars in order to rescue its banking system from collapse. Today the full implications of the crisis in Europe and around the world still remain unclear. Nevertheless, should we accept the crisis as an unfortunate side-effect of the free market? Or is there another explanation as to why it happened and its likely effects on our society, our economy and our whole way of life?Bonus feature: MARX FOR BEGINNERSa 6 minute short by Bob GodfreyFeatures leading Marxist philosophers Review Lively! --Time OutI can t recommend this film highly enough. --CounterpunchA roll call of some of the heavyweights in Marxist philosophy. --Socialist Review

It is a simplistic approach to Marks most valuable thoughts and to understanding his basic thesis
changing America is a tough road. The marketplace must be changed. Marks rightfully puts the blame onClass war that is seen seen as a curse in America. BLM is the most evident example. many other groups are also striking out. Natural resources have become exploited In the way that a worker is, with no intention to protecting or replacing them. The mysterys of commodities drives capitalism with the fetishism of commodities. Where we are seduced by beautiful objects that are simply to be bought and sold.

Horrible representation of Marxist theory
Just read Marx yourself. This movie puts an awfully idealistic spin on marxism that is frankly hard to watch. If you've already watched the movie, disregard everything that's been said. Marx never claimed to create communism. Communism is not some "doctrine" or idea to be implemented. He simply put a name to a movement already existing, and arising, from the tendencies and contradictions of capitalism. Please... just read for yourself.
