These gears are smoother than the origionals and tend to bind less. the material also appears to be stronger reducing the damage to the gears from the crashes that are bound to happen when you first start out. over all the improvement in performence is neglagiable at best but the price is comperable with origional gears so there is no reason to buy the stock gears over these ones.

Purchased a set of these to replace the stock gears. While they definitely feel stronger, the two attachment pegs were spaced too far apart, requiring extra force to install. Upon installation, you could not only tell the attachment points on the stock prop were being bent outwards slightly, but after having them on for a day without flying the unit the plastic would show light spots between the attachment points and the center shaft on the blade-an indication of bending, and the entire blades themselves seem to be bent upwards slightly in comparison to fresh unused ones. Since the power edition has several sets of blades, I tested it with another pair to make sure it wasn't the blades and I had the same issue.Maybe these were meant to be used with UltraFlight's own blades-if that were the case it would be nice if that was mentioned in the description. However, since nobody else has brought this up, im just going to assume I got a bad set.

Great and affordable upgrade. Fit without problem. Arrived quickly. Spins smoother than stock gears. I got black, but more colors have recently been released

Broke it even before installation.Wanted to install them with http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CIMPZU8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1but diameters of pins and holes are bit mismatched so you need to use file a bit to push propeller on. So pushing one of propellers I just broke the pin on one of gears. hopefully gluing it will hold.Should work fine with original propellers though.

The gears fit nicely and so far no issues observed. I have to way to measure "high performance". As far as I can tell the drone flies as it should.

Seems to have improved the flight performance. A look over of the gears seems they are much studier than those provided.

I bought the black gears because I had the clear ones and they wore prematurely and failed. Then I read on line that the black and the orange ones do not tend to wear rapidly, so I gave them a try. I have been very happy with the black gears. No evidence of wear on the main or pinion gears after a month of service. Rugged and, combined with bearings on prop shaft, very quiet.

These had a much tighter fit on the propeller than the stock gears requiring a bit of pressure install and make room for the clip. Also, I'm not entirely clear on what makes them "high performance". They run smoothly, but so did the OEM ones.
