The media could not be loaded.  This Djembe which I purchased for more "on the go" use as it's more portable. It's light, beautiful, and a great buy for the money. It's really perfect for children to learn how to play the Djembe.

Great quality; love the design. While it say's it's for "Children" I think drummers and non-drummers of multiple ages would enjoy it. That being said, I'm not sure I'd buy it for a 3 year old, but a little older child (and adults) would enjoy it. Just because I feel you should be able to appreciate the different tones and qualities -- depending on how you hold/hit it -- it produces. It's heftier and more solid than what I was expecting, and has a nice sound. And I do own other Aklot products (Ukulele) so I did have a somewhat high expectation in terms of quality, and I was not disappointed.I like the hand-painted design on the side. And that's one bit of my feedback feedback (not negative nor positive) is that what design you receive is random. Some may enjoy the element of surprise, while others may want a specific pattern/color to match their other gear. I like mine, and didn't mind not knowing, but just putting that out there.Also, having some sort of small book/manual included would be nice. How to hold it, what differentiates the Djembe from other African drums, etc. I know some people ignore manuals, but I have a little manual that came with a Mbira (not Aklot) and I appreciate some of those basic bits of info.

My 9-year-old daughter learned to drum at school and wanted something on which she could practice for fun. I was nervous about buying a drum online, but this exceeded my expectations- such a great value! It’s certainly not the fanciest drum you can buy, but the quality is very high, and the sound is fantastic. She has no trouble handling it herself...she said it’s just like the ones the drum teacher brings for them to play. We’re thrilled! Highly recommend.

I am just learning how to drum. I didn’t want to invest a lot of money until I was sure I would like it, so I purchased this beautiful drum. It is beautifully painted. The sound quality is amazing, and the drum head is good sized. I am more than pleased, and would highly recommend this drum for anyone curious about the art of drumming.

This is a great little drum for when a group of people are over. Usually a few of us have guitars or something to play. We all sit around a sing songs. I have this in the corner for some one to beat while we all play along.The colors are random. Mine is red. It doesn’t bother me, but you probably won’t get one exactly like the picture.Super fun and if you have some children in the 10-12 range it helps to make them feel included on the jam sessions. Lots of fun and worth the money

Bought for my 20 month old grandson who constantly played mine! He loves it! Tilted it on his lap for max sound quality lol! Great buy. I'm very happy with it as is my grandson and he knows it's "his" !!

We love this drum. The hand painted sides are beautiful and the sound quality is excellent. The craftsmanship is great. Our kids (ages 1 and 3) love playing this drum as well!

I wasn’t very happy with the Djembe when it arrived. It was a gift for my son for Christmas and there was spider webs all over it, the top was so dirty with black finger prints and I’ve tried to clean it but it’s not working, the blue paint was chipped and the design was completely scratched up. The item was listed as brand new and this djembe is clearly well used. Very disappointed!

I love my new djembe! The rich tones from this drum are amazing, and it is beautifully carved and painted. I was pleasantly surprised to find a rubber protector around the bottom to help keep it from scuffing from contact with the floor.

I love the sound and plan to bring this for outdoor jam sessions with my friends. There are some ultra minor aesthetic nicks on the paint but it's hand painted so imperfection is the beauty of it. The drum head is tight and smooth so it plays great! I love this drum and appreciate this price point for such a sturdy and fun drum.One thing I wish it had was an arm strap so that it's easy to carry around (or even if it came with a carrying case) that would be perfect!

The drum came damaged and looked like it was returned and shipped to me. It was a gift for my sister and arrived in great time but I was very disappointed when I looked at it you can see it all in the pictures. I get that it was a cheaper price than others but I feel this is unacceptable.
