Powerful and handy tool
I used this to swage stainless steel stops on the ends of some 5/32" stainless steel rope as part of my repair project for my Ford F-350 spare tire hoist. The old wire rope had gotten wound up against itself and so it became a tangled mess.inside the housing. So I decided on a repair instead of replacing the whole hoist (which is no cheap date). I ended up spending less that 1/2 the cost of a new hoist and have a useful tool to boot. The dies were too large for this project, so I made the smaller size by grinding out the reverse sides of one of the smaller dies. Worked perfectly and the swages have held just fine. This was the best total price after searching high and low all over the internet including eBay.

It won't do awg 6 as advertised
The tool itself looks good for what it is, which is a value priced tool. It's advertised to crimp awg 6 wire but the smallest die is 16mm and it's too big for that size wire and copper lug. I contacted the seller to ask if smaller dies were available and they said no. I applied for a refund and was ready to send it back when I decided to do some research on my own for smaller dies. On a not to be mentioned by name Chinese market site I was able to find two smaller dies, 8mm and 10mm at a very inexpensive price. I've canceled the return/refund request and am waiting for the slow boat from China to deliver the new smaller dies. If you are interested in purchasing the dies look for ones for the YKQ 240/300 crimper. This one is actually the YKQ 300 and comes with a very brief document that says YKQ. The replacement dies come in different dimensions to fit other models so be sure to order the right ones.having said all that, I haven't actually used the tool except to try that one failed crimp on awg 6 wire. I expect the tool to be adequate for my use and I expect I'll be able to work around the fact that the dies are metric and not actually sized for awg cable. Using a slightly undersized die and rotating the lug once or twice should avoid the wings that others have complained about. If after using the crimper I find my experience otherwise I'll update this review. It's pretty rugged looking, very bulky, but with the 2 extra dies which will cost you about $13.00 it's a great tool to have in your shop. I'll be doing mostly loose cables so I plan to fabricate a board to mount it on so I don't need 3 hands to operate it.

Great tool for the price
I do allot of car AV work for myself, friends, and family. In the last 4 years the number of 0 gauge installs I've done has gone way up, and even in smaller installs I have been running 0 gauge to support future installations. In the past I've always used screw clamp terminals (that can vibrate loose, hmm great for loud car stereos right???), or what I would usually do is press a crimp fitting closed with whatever I had handy, then fire up the propane torch to solder the wire and terminal together, and wait 30-60 minutes for the wire to cool and finish the install. But now with this tool I can easily get a nice tight crimp that so far I haven't had pull loose, and I can still fire up the torch and solder the fitting if used in a place like the engine bay where water, debris, and heat can damage wires, or cause a crimp to become loose. Still it gets the job done, and at a good price point.

Should have bought one long ago
I bought this to crimp ends on some 2/0 wire for a 2000W inverter in my truck camper. I wish I had bought one a long long time ago! I usually don't get so excited for tools, but this thing is awesome and makes really nice crimps. I've done car audio, winches, starting cables, etc for years like a god damn amateur, smashing lugs or soldering them, and it's always kind of meh. This thing produces pro grade crimps. And now I've started going back and have redone a few easy to get to lugs for car audio stuff, and have also redone some of the truck camper's battery wiring. This thing is legit good stuff.

Works perfect!
There were a few negative reviews on this crimper but it's worked perfect for me. I bought this around six months ago and I've used it to build cables for our camper's inverter and lithium battery setup. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this crimper.

the case the tool comes in is sturdy but the placement of the handle doesn't balance the ...
you may not use it often, but when crimping heavy metal connectors this tool is indispenseable! it was a bit awkward to set-up the dies and the tool does not come with any chart indicating the die to use with specific wire or connector size (but it wasn't hard to figure it out). the case the tool comes in is sturdy but the placement of the handle doesn't balance the weight properly. it's very awkward to carry. however, i was impressed with the overall quality. this is a hefty tool! i have only used it once. i can't comment about long term quality.

Seems to be decent product but the documentation is severely lacking
Product arrived, appears to be what was ordered. The included documentation is poor at very best. The dies have a stamped number on them but they do not appear to be AWG reference so there's no way to tell what size should be used for a given size of cable.
