Not excessively bright which is just what I wanted
I put one of these in my desk lamp so I can see my desk and keyboard without a lot of glare. It works great, just the right amount of light. My wife likes them for her small accent lamps. So far they have held up well.

Nice bulb, but not quite "warm"
Happy to find decent 15w equivalent lightbulbs that have a similar appearance to a classic bulb. Especially since there is no way for me to add a dimmer switch. My landlord put this fixture with 4 exposed bulbs in the bathroom and no dimmer... I find it to be brutally bright with any other wattage of bulbs.They are definitely not "Warm White" though, and if that is important to the look of your lamp/décor, then it is something to consider. The shades in this picture are clear frosted glass.The bulb on the left is the new "warm white" LED bulb. The bulb on the right is a classic GE 15w Soft White.I wish it were a little warmer, but at least it isn't blinding white.

Just exactly the right bulbs for keeping a big stained glass lamp lit all day and dim enough not to overpower it's lovely shades of glass.
