Why  pay $120 per year to open my door, Is there a version of this lock that I can use myself over the web without a Nexia subscription?

Revolv's hub can also be used with this lock for remote access (and other automations based on geolocation or device-to-device interactions) without a subscription.

Rekeying , how can I do it ? Not changing codes , I need to change the way the key works.

Its easy to re-key the cylinder. A single screw holds the cylinder in place and its easy to remove, re-key and replace. You can also drop in another pre-keyed Schlage cylinder if you have one (for example, if you're upgrading a schlage lock to this one). you can take the cylinder to a locksmith, or you can buy a Schlage rekey kit. A $10 kit (Prime-Line E 2402 Re-Key A Lock Kit) comes with the tools and pins to re-key it to a set of keys that are included. If you want to key to match your existing key you need a more complete re-key set to be able to get your key's code with a measuring tool and then use the appropriate pins to match the code. Look for youtube videos for a step by step.

Question 3

How do you use smarting to actually change codes and more? I can only lock and unlock it right now.

Accepted Answer

You have to install code under the smartapps section of the smartthings app.  The software/code can be found either by searching the smartthings forum online or with a google search.  All you have to do is copy and paste the code into the smart apps section and then it will allow you to remotely enter codes for the lock and will also monitor and track when those codes are used and can even be set up to only allow certain codes to work on certain days/times. Question 4

Would this work on an outside fence gate? I imagine the exterior side is meant to weather the elements but not sure about the inside.

I'm not sure the intended "indoor" part of the lock would do well in bad weather. Although it only contains the buttons and battery pack, that side seems not to be water proof, should moisture get inside the cover. You would also have UV concerns with the plastic. I might try it by building a small box around the top and one side of the of the lock to block sunlight, rain and snow. Other than that, not for outside. (My opinion).
