DataShark PA70076 Cable Tie Gun | Zip Tie Designed for Cable Ties up to 1/4" Wide

I've used several zip tie guns at work. I tried to save a few bucks and bought a Harbor Freight gun and took it back the next day... junk. I used some that other guys had at work that cost $50.00 and $120.00. They worked awesome. I saw this with the Greenlee logo in the information so I took a chance. The free shipping also was a plus.So here's my opinion... $18.00 is an excellent price. This tool is all metal and has a solid feel. How does it work? Very well. As a maintenance mechanic I often have to make a temporary repair using a zip tie or two... or three. This little gun cinches the zip tie tight (on the highest setting of 3) and snips of the end almost flush with the lock. I measured the cut end at .050 Inches with my micrometer. The minimal amount left is less than a 64th of an inch and it is smooth! No more tightening zip ties with pliers and cutting off with wire cutters that leave a sharp edge that can cut you wide open.This is day one and I've used it several times and the rest of the crew had to try it out too so it's done at least 20 zip ties before lunch.It does all sizes including the heavy duty 1/4 inch ties.Highly recommend this tool. If anything goes bad I will update this review. Just to be fair, i have not used it on the lower settings to wrap a bundle of cables or wires yet.I bought this from American Tools. Happy with shipping, happy with the product.UPDATE 3/3/2018 I freaking LOVE this little tool. Iv'e used it hundreds of times and several coworkers have used on a lot of projects. The #3 (highest setting) tightens a 1/4" Zip tie really tight. I used it to hold a sensor on a pneumatic cylinder until a proper stainless steel strap could be delivered. Saved 2 hours of down time. The machine ran with no problems and the sensor didn't move out of place even after 2,500 cycles. On the lowest setting it works well for bundling delicate wires and hard plastic pneumatic tubing without damaging anything.

Heavy duty tough construction...takes a drop to the concrete like a champ. I've never had zip ties hold so tight and the cutting tool does a great job. Adjustable so you don't break whatever you're zip tying....I'd recommend this to any and all automotive techs, mechanics or just tool guys for around the garage or workshop. Now all my tools are hanging instead of lying on the work bench!

I've never owned a Ty-Rap tool before, but often wished I had one. I recently bought this one and have used it a good bit over the past week on a couple of vehicle related projects. No problems, no jams, and the tool is usable in some pretty tight spaces. All metal construction.. keep it out of the rain and the tool should provide service for a very long time.

Very sturdy, work perfectly, cuts the tail off nice and flush, love the adjustable tension dial, I can set it as tight or loose as I need to suit the application and size of the zip-tie.

I love the Paladin PA70076 Tools DataShark Cable Tie Gun. I have limited use of my hand due to disability and I fight with zip ties and wire twists. I was worried about ordering this but was desperate to tie up cables without waiting days for someone to stop by and do it for me, so I ordered it and so glad I did! I think I've zipped tied everything in the house ON MY OWN! :D This is very easy to use and works awesome. It's heavy duty construction too!

I've ordered these for the company before and they were excellent. Sturdy and performed well on all zip ties including the heavy duty 15" ties. Ordered these and they have made a design change to plastic. They are now bulky, awkward and don't tightly grab the tag ends to cut them off flush. Another good brand bites the dust.

Tie gun works well when used on one thickness zip tie but switching between sizes without readjusting tension will result in extra being left on the tail or the cables are too tight and you need to re-do the zip tie.Tool itself is heavy metal and well built but the above issue keeps me from awarding 5 stars, as a plastic no-name i bought years ago performed perfectly until it's death.Bottom line? Good to great tool if you only ever use one size zip tie and properly adjust the tension, otherwise there are better tools out there.

This tool works incredibly well! So much better than my hole saw and file. ;)Also, I was surprised how well the included wrench driver works... I bought a hydraulic drive and made a couple to use this with it, but it ended up being faster to just use a ratchet...
