5 stars (because it's so fun and durable) despite a few flaws
The Granite is so fun, fast, and durable. Easy to work on and replace parts. There are a few weak spots but it's so fun to drive that I can't fault it too much. Good job Arrma.Having said that, please give the new Granite a spoiler! We have to retrofit spoilers and cut the body in order to save the rear of the body from getting destroyed every time it lands upside down. The bodies are very thin and weak too, so you have to reinforce it unless you want to spend $40 every month on a new body.The plastic driveshafts break often. And the plastic tie rods get loose really quick and make handling sloppy. The motor and ESC are super solid. The servo is pretty weak so I replaced that right away. Otherwise, amazing truck.

It really goes 50+ MPH
I watched a lot of videos of this truck, then I got mine today. I've learned that videos can not convey just how fast this thing really is. (I'm using 5000Mah 3s 50c Spektrum G2's)The first time I tried to open it up in the street in front of my house, I cartwheeled it for about 20'. It landed on it's wheel and I just kept going, no damage at all. I immediately shut it down and headed for a park with wide open spaces.Pros: It's insanely fast and powerfull and very tough, just like the box says. It's super easy to work on and it's really good looking.Cons: EDIT - With the throttle limiter on the throttle was super laggy. After I went through the throttle setup in the included instruction, this was cured.You must pull the axle shafts off the wheel spindles and loc-tite the screws or the wheels will fall off.The binding plug was not included. (I'm going to contact Arrma about that and see if they'll send me one) EDIT: I went to the Arrma website, filled out the contact form, told them the truck didn't come with the binding plug it should have, Horizon Hobby replied and is going to send it to me ;)The included documentation doesn't tell you how to set the steering servo endpoints. (Go download the radio manual from Spektrum for that info)I would not call this a beginner R/C. It requires a lot of maintanence and it's extremly powerful. Read the Safety Information at the bottom of the product page. They are not joking. You could break someones leg if you ran into them with this truck.All that said, I love it and look forward to many hours of enjoyment. This is my second Arrma purchase in a month. I just got back into R/C and bought an Arrma Granite Voltage to check out the brand. I was so pleased with it I bought this truck for me and gave the Voltage to my Grandson so we can bash together.

Fast, fun, durable, and a good value
This was my first Arrma RC and I am happy with it. It is fast and fun to drive. The short wheelbase makes the vehicle very lively and easy to correct in the air. It is easy to do wheelies and backflips on 3S. It is also fun to drive on 2S, but not as easy to flip. The durability has been great. I’ve had some back wrecks with it and haven’t broke any parts yet. The body is getting pretty thrashed, but it is still holding together. One weak spot is that vehicle comes with plastic pivot balls and I highly recommend upgrading them to metal. I wore out the plastic ones after about 10 battery packs and the front end/steering became very loose.You can get a metal pivot ball kit for around $15 and it makes the vehicle much tighter and tougher. I would do this upgrade right out of the box. Other than that, I think this vehicle is a great value and is a tough basher.

ARRMA = UNDESTRUCTABLE
Probably one of the toughest RC brands around right now. My husband punishes his (built) 8s Kraton so we figured we'd buy our youngest son an Arrma since he kept breaking his emaxx.Best buy ever! Great little stock truck, more than enough power for a child, keeps him busy for hours, takes a beating like no other whether it be banging into things, doing cartwheels from the ramps or what have you....these things are BEASTS! Lots of fun for adults as well!Amazing quality for the price. Super happy with our purchase. We'll keep buying Arrma's as long as the quality and durability stays the same.

Awesome Power and Perfect Speed
This is my first real RC truck. I was a little apprehensive about going straight to a fast brushless truck. But reviews I read said that the brushless trucks are going to have tougher parts on them to handle the speed. I have been running 2s Lipos in it and it is plenty fast. I started on 50 percent throttle and that lasted about 5 seconds till I switched in to 100 percent. The truck is very stable and controllable. I've been using it in my smaller front yard, but I'm sure when the snow melts, I can run 3s batteries in the back yard with no problem. It seems pretty solid, but it is not meant to crash into things at speed. I tumbled it pretty good though and it seems unfazed.UPDATE:This thing is a beast. I've driven this thing very hard. I've landed wheels up, done more cartwheels than I can count, and other than the body getting beat up a bit, it hasn't broken a thing. Except for catching a tire on a pole at full speed, and busting an arm, a shock, and steering linkage, but the parts were readily available and nothing expensive broke. I had it going in a couple of days.I would get the wide arms kit; it makes the truck way more stable.

LOVE THIS BASHER
This truck has been awesome and can’t recommend it enough. The design makes it pretty easy to work on not that you have to often but at least you can throw upgrades on easy. It functions well out of the box and has plenty of power. Box stock it does like to friction flip a lot so I slapped the wide track kit on and that fixed the issue so stability is crazy good now. Steering trim can be a pain sometimes but handles good otherwise. I threw the typhon wing and wide track on there and it has helped handle better and protect the body so I recommend those two cheap upgrades.
