This 1981 women in prison film [aka Hellhole Women, Prisoners of the Flesh or Sadomania: The Hell of Passion] starts with newlyed couple Michael [Angel Caballero] and wife Olga [Uta Koepke] taking a back road and trespassing onto the lands of a private ‘hard labour’ prison run by the stunning and evil Warden Magda [Ajita Wilson]. Imprisoning Olga, Magda lets hubby go free and sets Olga to work with the other women. The film has a number of sub plots but the question is, will hubby return to save his wife and what will become of her in the meantime?The sub plots are ‘decent’ enough; Governor Mendoza [Robert Foster] and his bi sexual wife Luwa [Gina Jansen] want a baby, but he only gets aroused having sex with the inmates. Magda has a nice little sideline selling girls into white slavery or using them as quarry in her human ‘hunting’ trips –if the whim suits her. Yet, this isn’t sure what direction to go in. Despite it’s subject matter, it’s not serious enough to be taken seriously, doesn’t have the humour to be a comedy, and isn’t even erotic as the ’sex’ scenes are so mechanically acted. The film is an unashamed sleazy sexploitation soft core porn flick despite all the ‘artistic’ drivel and seems more like a late 60’s early 70’s throwback. The women may be beautiful, but acting isn’t generally on their resume –but in the end, who really cares? It’s a beer and popcorn late night fantasy view in the best sleaze tradition.Ultimately the original script was meant to be part of the ‘Ilsa’ sexploitation series so if you can cope with beautiful women running around topless in skimpy tight shorts or completely naked uttering ridiculous sentences in a badly acted manner, this will be just your sort of film. If you’re looking for a deep and meaningful plot filled with erotic scenes, or ‘torture porn’ stay clear. Ajita’s filmography in the extras will prove to be a definite eye opener for those who do not know of her [watch it after viewing the film for an added twist -especially if watching with mates!].

Not sure of this one its a little dark for me... I like these capture style films.Worth a watch

This film probably demonstrates just what Jess Franco is good at - naked women wrapped up in a sleazy plot with various perversions thrown in. A newly-wed couple trespass onto forbidden ground and almost immediately we are introduced to the half-naked inmates and guards. Needless to say, they all look like Playboy centrefolds; actually. Ursula Fellner who plays the bride did pose for Playboy magazine. Plus we get the prison warder played by the mysterious Ajita Wilson and also the male prison governor who can't get it up. The acting plays second fiddle to the sleaze and some of the plot is strange to say the least. It is a film that outstays its welcome.The DVD reviewed here is the UK edition from Anchor Bay who have done a great job in compiling and restoring this film from different sources. Run time is a quoted 102 minutes and aspect ratio is 1.66:1. Language is English with optional subtitles. Sound is Stereo, 5.1 and DTS. There are numerous extras which include trailers, biographies, artwork and stills galleries.

I liked this trashy piece of work, lots of gorgeous girls half naked all the time and a mad plot with bad dialogue. If you like a good old prison yarn that is as predictable as a swiss watch then this is for you. A great late night unwinder that just might get you going!!!!
