Splines stripped in three weeks.
It arrived quickly, and installed with no problems.Ran about twelve loads, keeping them about 1/2 to 3/4 full, then one small blanket. Now the splines are stripped.

Simple fix for common issue!
The item came quickly and was a direct-fit replacement. It went on in a matter of minutes and brought my washing machine back to life. Literally. It was about to go to washer heaven. This is a simple fix for a very common issue [that can be easily overlooked, due to the placement]. No need for a new washer/ dryer combo, just yet.

Not OEM, but seems to be just as good
If this product was OEM, it would be in GW packaging. It is not.I could be manufactured by the company that makes it for GE. It seems to be a quality part. Solid, fit nice and tight on gear box shaft. Agitator fit nice and tight over the coupler.I would buy it again.

For GE washing machine WCSR4170DAWW
The agitator on our washing machine stopped working. After looking at videos online, I found out what was causing it but was not sure which part number. Thank you to the person who answered my question if this will work on our GE washing machine model WCSR4170DAWW. I'm glad we were able to replace the part without hiring someone.

Save yourself a $200 service call !!
Very inexpensive part to complete a very simple repair. This easily would have been a $200 service call. If your agitator isn't agitating...this is most likely the culprit. When the washer is off, if you can freely spin the agitator, then the internals of this part is stripped out and needs replacing. The agitator slides onto this part with no fasteners, so to remove you simple pull up. This may take some effort depending on how old your machine is. Once the agitator has been removed you will see this piece being held on with a single bolt. Remove the bolt and this part will lift right up. Reverse the process to install the new one and you are back in business.

Great replacement part for GE Select 3500 series washing machine.
If your agitator is making funny noises or not spinning then check out the hub underneath it. If the splines are gone then you need this part and the agitator (GE WH43X10034). The install goes pretty quickly with a little patience if your old bolt was rusted like mine. To remove the old hub start with getting the bolt out. If the socket slips around the edges try a 12 point of the same size or the next size down in SAE or metric. Mine didn't budge with any due to the rust so I chipped down the plastic around the bolt until I could get visegrips on the lower shoulder of the bolt. It came right out and then the hub was stuck too. I located the splines and then drilled out the plastic just outside the splines to split it. It came right off and after a little clean up I installed the new one. It took me about 30 minutes after diagnosing the issues and gathering the tools.

Easy fix for the no agitation problem.
Older models can sometimes be hard to get the agitator off but just yank it. Easy replacement after that. 5 min fix if it comes right off, 20 minutes if you have to work at it.

Works great for old model washers
The coupling was exactly what I needed and had a great super tight fit I don't know if I ordered the wrong part for model of washer but the bolt was to short to catch the treads but I give this a solid 4.95 stars out of 5

Fits perfectly
The old one was completely stripped and the agitator was not moving anymore. Took out the agitator, unscrewed & removed the old coupler, cleaned up the surrounding area, tapped in & screwed in this new one and reinstalled the original agitator. Done !The material appears to be very similar to the OEM one. Fits perfectly. Now let's see how long it lasts.
