This toy is strong and durable and can stand up to the every day perils of a german shepherd. So far it has had tug of war several times, been in a river as well as being thrown in a field a lot of times. Have tried it with toothpaste and the brush it co es with is helpful for cleaning after. The squeak is deep set in to the toy so takes a bit of pressure to make it squeak, which for me is ideal as the dog can make it squeak enough to keep her playing but not too much it drives every one round the bend. All in all a very good strong durable toy.

I have two dogs, a puppy and a twelve year old.Both were immediately delighted with the Alligator dog chew toy.I used a small smear of soft cheese within the toys mouth to keep them interested long enough for the toy to do it’s work.I recommend this product

As soon as it arrived the g.s.d has not let it go and has chewed for over a hour and he loves it

Great colour, easy to find in the garden but there it stops.Within several days my dog had gnawed off some of the teeth, then cracks developed in the main body of the toy and within 2 weeks chunks were coming off it.The dog got one of the chunks stuck in his throat, fortunately we managed to get it out.It's not as tough as they make out. Be aware it's dangerous. The dog is a cocker spaniel, so not the heaviest of biters.

Seems pretty robust, my dog normally destroys your average dog toy, but this is great, he's not leaving it alone, it's got a good weight to it and the squeek is great

Robust toy which mum’s dog was instantly attracted to. Has been constantly chewing on so hopefully it’ll do the trick and keep him happy as well as kee his teeth clean! Anything to try and rid his minging breath. Toy seems fairly substantial and shouldn’t be destroyed quickly like most plastic bases toys.

Reluctantly given this toy one star due to potential safety issue. My dog loves this chew toy and after an hour of intense chewing is barely marked. It's still squeaking! My dog de-squeaks most toys within minutes.There is a small cleaning brush concealed between the teeth of the toy which wasn't mentioned on the packaging and we didn't spot it until it started to fall out as it was being chewed. No harm done on this occasion as I was closely supervising. There should be a warning on the packaging before someone else's dog is harmed.

Ours arrived this morning and our Golden Retriever was delighted with it, squeaking and chewing it happy and pretty much constantly. We regularly checked on the toy and to begin with the durability seemed great, indentations could be seen from his teeth but otherwise it was hold up well. We were extremely impressed to begin with.Whilst the material it is made of does appear to be durable it has one fatal weakness, which our dog after approximately 3 hours exposed. Where the mouth opens for the teeth, so that you can put toothpaste of peanut button on it gave an edge for our dog to focus on. The narrow end of the toy our dog just a few minutes ago took a small chunk out of the lower lip of the crocodile. This spells the beginning of the end for the crocodile and we will soon have to take it away from him, taking that chunk from the end of the toy means he has an even great and more accessible edge to focus on and we don't want him eating too much of it.So beware, if you have an intelligent doggo that investigates the best way he can destroy toys or one that is a determinedly strong chewer the opening for the mouth is a weakness that is much less durable than the rest of the toy and will likely spell it's destruction.
