Why is there a cancer and reproductive harm warning on the back of the package?

I hope drsteve isn’t an actual doctor, because he’s an idiot. Most things that are sold within California require that warning and it’s pretty meaningless. Literally everything can minutely increase your risk of cancer. What should be worried about cancer wise are smoking, not wearing sunscreen, etc etc. Not a package of seaweed.

Is "Gold Grade" an official industry standard? Or is it just marketing?

Nori seaweed is one of the healthiest foods, full of protein and vitamins. Nori is created by harvesting huge amounts of seaweed from special nori seaweed farms, then drying and pressing into sheets in a similar fashion to making paper. Gold Grade Nori is the highest grade of nori available.

What is natural unami flavor? it is not listed on the label as an ingredient. I have eaten nori for decades and never seen this word before.

It’s a sort of savory taste that acts s a flavor enhancer. Think MSG but not added in...seaweed is a natural source of MSG.

Does the product contain Canola oil?
