Wondfo Pregnancy Test Strips, Sensitive HCG Detection

After a rather depressing whirlwind in March with just about every store brand known to man, where I got faint positives from 8 dpo to 10 dpo on lots of different non-digital tests... the faint lines never got stronger, and went away by 11 dpo. I'd ordered some of these, they showed up at 12 dpo and showed a clear, no-squint negative faster than I've ever seen a pregnancy test "clear"... and I got my period a few hours later. For me, the negatives being clear and rapid is almost as important as whether the positives are early or not. Early conceptions don't always stick around, they estimate that half of eggs that fertilize never come to term, and most people never know it because they're not insane POAS-aholics. Since I am, I decided I needed a cheaper "front end" test. With these, I can test every day if I want, or even a couple times a day, and I'm pretty confident in my result. I would never trust a single positive test anyway... because I've lost enough pregnancies to not assume that a positive test means a baby at the other end. So what I need are tests that I can use, and watch to see if they get darker. The price is unbelievable. Dipsticks are my preference, I tend to pee in a cup even for the midstream tests, it's far tidier. It helps if you've got good control, and can pee a little, pee in the cup, stop before it overflows, then finish your business after you've pulled the cup away. This isn't hard for me at all, and if you're going to be seeing a doctor for pregnancy, you've got to get the hang of peeing in a cup anyway, they make pregnant women do it all the time. For speed, these cannot be beat. Every other test says, "Dip for 5 (or 10, or 20) seconds, then lay flat, read between 5 and 10 minutes." These, you dip for 3 seconds, lay flat, and they process and clear amazingly quickly, far faster than any of the "major" brands. And you're not left with a giant stick full of pee, either (the midstream tests kind of gross me out, actually, that way.) My expected negatives (i.e. testing after my period started but before it got heavy, to be sure it wasn't implant bleeding) were crystal clear white in the test zone within about a minute. Given that I'm often testing in the rush to get my older kids off to school, saving time that way is a godsend, and I don't end up staring at a pee stick for 10 minutes trying to figure out if I can see a squint of a line. It does take a few minutes for a positive result to show up, but far less time than major store brands like Answer and First Response. When I first wrote this, I said, "I don't expect these to be the final word: They're cheap, and there there to keep me from blowing $1 or $4 or $8 every time I want to test. If I get a positive on one of these, I'll test again to see if it gets darker, and when it's darker, I'll break out the digitals I have left over from the last round. (Because really, husbands need to see the word PREGNANT spelled out for them, it seems like...)" Having tested at different levels of hCG for many days now, I can say that these are definitely the final word. The results are darker, stronger and faster than any other brand I've tried. They are more consistent from day to day, showing darkening as my levels of hCG go up. I got a positive digital test at 12 dpo, after these were positive late on 10 dpo, and clearly positive on 11 dpo. And at 17 dpo now, they are far darker than other brands, faster, stronger, better. These very much satisfy the science geek in me. I used to love the Dollar Tree tests, but heck... 20 cents a test, give or take? Mind boggling. Edited to add: I got my first visible positives with these, ahead of FRER (at least as far as taking pictures of the tests is concerned!) They are remarkably consistent from tests to test in intensity, which means that it is so easy to compare color of tests from one to the next. I can really see the test getting darker even over the course of one day, and after a chemical pregnancy where the tests never really changed, it is encouraging. I now have about 20 of these dry and pasted to a sheet of paper in order, and I can tell you that there are ZERO evaporation lines on the negatives (3-4 dpo, too early to expect a positive.) Even the faint lines that showed up after the test time did so in a way that makes clear the progression from no color to some color to definite positives. The first hints of what I would call "evaporation" lines show up at 7 dpo on my chart, and got slowly but consistently darker from 7-10 dpo (lines showing up after the test time), before "true positives" appeared late on 10 dpo, getting darker all day 11dpo. First Response appears to be about 1-2 days behind in intensity, and is not getting darker in the same way. I got some "cheap" ($2 per test) strips at a drugstore, Answer strips, and they are much less clear. The test, dipped in the same sample as the Wondfo tests, are fainter, "messier" and the dye is all over the place, even the control lines are a little vague. By contrast, Wondfo strips have very well defined dye areas and the tests look much "cleaner". These are probably the least gross pee sticks I've ever seen... :) Both tests showed "positive" at the same time, but the Wondfo test are cheaper, cleaner, and much faster to give results. And days later, the Answer tests look negative, while the Wondfos are still clearly positive. Definite will buy again, as I've nearly gotten through the 25 I've had, and after having miscarriages, I know I'll want to test often in the coming weeks, for reassurance. I have the pink handled tests, and cannot say enough good things about them. Because they are cheap enough that I feel like I can test whenever I want without feeling guilty, I was able to get enough consistent negatives that when the strips started being slightly ambiguous, it was pretty clear something was different, even if it did take a couple days after that for the lines to get really visible. The negatives were clear, clear white. The positives are still faint, but I'm still early, and it is enough to see the progression. Note: The pink handled tests expire in 2012. I've gotten ones that expire in 2013 from another listing, with pale pink handles that say "hcg" (much like the older blue ones) and they are also very good. Wondfo seems to change the printing and color of their handles frequently, but the rest of the test is identical, and the results are very consistent. Don't worry if your handles look different, if you are buying from this listing, or the other listing I've left reviews (and pictures) for. I've compared the plain pink and pink hcg handles in the same sample and the results are nearly identical, and both perfectly functional. Don't worry about handle color! UPDATE: The gals on FertilityFriend and I have been doing some experimenting. Some people may know that dipping a pregnancy test directly in cola or apple juice can create a "positive" test (not just on this brand). What we now have some evidence of is that people who drink large quantities of these beverages may have just enough of whatever chemical creates those positives in their urine to create a faint "false positive". So if you're getting questionable results with these tests, consider checking your diet. Even organic apples, freshly juiced, can turn one of these positive, which means if you eat a lot of apples or drink certain kinds of juice or soda in large quantity, they may make your results less reliable. (One man who drinks a lot of apple juice got a positive result...) If you are testing early, consider sticking to beverages which don't cause these things to turn positive on their own... So far, water, OJ and milk are all just fine. We're testing more things over the next few weeks to see what does and doesn't skew the results. Personally, I drink a ton of Vitamin Water Zero and haven't had any iffy results. Ultimately I have to say that the false positive results with this brand are probably due to the increased sensitivity to low levels of hormone (or whatever it is in apples that causes pregnancy tests to go positive!)

My cycles are super irregular and I took this test as a “just in case” on cycle day 40 before starting a medication to force my period to start so we could begin fertility treatments! Thank goodness I took this extra sensitive test because little did I know I was 3 weeks 2 days pregnant at the time! These tests are a nice, cheaper alternative to the clear blue early testing, especially if you’ve been trying a while and don’t want to waste money on the more expensive tests!

!! Listen up, folks! I am an obsessive POAS addict. We have had two unsuccessful pregnancies over the course of the last five years. Our most recent was in October 2016. I got my first cycle December 19, 2016 and ended December 25th. I used a first response and clear blue (+ or -, not digital) on January 12th and got BFN on both. The evening of January 13th, I received these strips in the mail and immediately used one. A very very very faint line appeared that apparently, only I could see. Husband "could not see it" but I knew it was there. I had him pee in a cup and tested his urine with one (the very top strip in my picture - the second strip is the one I tested that day and you can BARELY see a faint second line) and nothing appears on his. That gave me a little hope that the strips were working, and that very faint line was not my imagination. This was 8 DPO and 6 days before next AF was due. I have tested a couple each day since at different times throughout the day and they have progressively gotten darker. Today, I am one day late and about 20 minutes ago, used one (the very bottom one). According to the doctor, I am 4w3d today. I have read a lot of reviews giving false positives or negatives, but I can say for me (a healthy, average 23 year old) these tests detected HCG before other brands I used. I will continue to test until my first appointment to make sure they continue getting darker/stay dark and will definitely use these strips in the future for other pregnancies. Like I said, I basically used 1 each day in between Jan 13-Jan 20. *FRER with 1 definite line: Jan 13 (Used right after I first used Wondfo - at the moment, I thought I saw a line but stared at it for too long. Wondfo was a little more obvious) *Clear blue: tested Sunday, Jan 15 (4 days before AF) faint positive *FRER: Tuesday, 1/17 noticeable positive (2 days before AF) Just for you to compare. With wondfo, other than 5-6 days before AF, I didn't have to "hold them in certain lighting" or stare at them for 20 minutes to convince myself I saw something. I did let them dry before I went back so with each of them I set them down, waited 20+ minutes, and then went back. *My poor bathroom sink has been sanitized so many times. Haha Good luck to everyone trying. Hoping for a smooth one this time and thank you Wondfo for making this process a little less stressful and cheaper.

These test strips work great. I used Wondfo brand strips to detect my twin pregnancy in 2012. I was able to test between 9-12 days past ovulation and get a positive. I have read that people get faint lines, so my experience may differ, due to the fact that I was carrying multiples the first time I purchased these test strips. I recently decided that since I'm off birth control and tracking my fertility for various health and medical reasons, that it may be good to have some of these around. I think these test strips work great for anyone who is tracking or testing very early on. There is zero guilt if you become a pee-on-a-stick addict, since they are very affordable. I would recommend these test strips, as they are even cheaper than the dollar store strips and work just as well. This seller does sell WONDFO test strips, but there are other sellers out there that are selling strips under the name Wondfo, that are not actually the correct strips. I ordered from one of those sellers before I knew that there were fake sellers and I received a completely different brand of test strip (not even the same package as seen in the photos.) So be aware when choosing that you pick the right "internet cheapies". The off brand strips I received were bunk. I wasn't pregnant, but they had problems like streaking and clearly would not have been a good test for accurate results. These strips do start out very faint. I see others have included photos of how the line progresses. It's different for everyone, but if you are trying to conceive or testing in early pregnancy just be aware that you may see the most faint line in your early days past ovulation. In fact, you may almost go cross-eyed trying to tell if it's a line. The longer you wait to test, the more likely to get a definitive line, but I understand the two week wait can make most of us ladies very impatient. Pee without guilt, but know that you may not get a strong line right away. I think that is very important to know because when you buy OTC drug store tests youre expecting a dark line and I believe that is a lot of cash to drop for a faint line before your missed period. So, I highly recommend these to many of my mom friends for earlier detection. Use the pricey store tests to confirm after you miss your period.

At one point in time, I would have given these a five star review. The ease and economy of these strips saw me through three and a half years of infertility before giving my a BFP in April of 2011. Unfortunately, our son was born severely premature and passed away. We began trying again, and I ordered a new batch of these test strips. The first test was fine, but the second one I opened was dinged up and had a weird blue mark that *looked* like a pen line. I contacted the seller, because it was too late to return the tests. I received a form response which ignored my primary concern (the pen mark) stating that some tests from that batch had dark creases which were confusing women, and they would send me a replacement box. I wasn't completely happy with that response, but I accepted the replacements. I received a set of 25 strips from lot # Wo111233-3, with an Expiration date of 12/2013. I have an irregular cycle, so I test almost monthly. On Father's day, I tested and got a faint positive. It showed up in under two minutes; NOT an evap line. We were thrilled! As it was a Sunday I obviously couldn't set up an appointment with my OB yet, so I waited until the next morning and tested again when I got up just for the heck of it. It was a negative, and I started later that day. I assumed that it was a chemical pregnancy, and that I had just had the misfortune to catch it by testing. After all, there's "No such thing" as a false positive, right? Last Saturday, I tested again. This time the positive was even clearer, and showed up immediately. I was also having some pain on my left side and, afraid of a tubal pregnancy, decided I'd call my Dr. on Monday morning. I tested again on Sunday and Monday mornings, and received negatives. Called my Dr, got an appointment for Tuesday, and then googled the batch number for these tests. Sure enough, others were reporting false positives, too. My Dr. did blood work and an ultrasound (to determine the cause of the pain); both showed that I was not pregnant. I cannot begin to tell you how devastating these false positives were. My wondfo tests are in the garbage now, and I'll never order them again. I'd advise anyone who already has them to run a Google search on your lot number if you've already made a purchase, and to confirm any positive against a store brand before getting your hopes up. If you're reading this and haven't clicked that purchase button yet, DON'T. The money saved isn't worth the heartache.

My husband and I had been ttc for 7 months. The Wondfo tests are cheap and easy to use. I didn't feel bad using more then one a day. In 7 months, I have never gotten any type of line besides the control line until this last month. I was 12 dpo when I tested with the fmu. I waited the allotted time and found it to be a bfn. I threw it away and I thought we were down for the count because I was experiencing pms symptoms so I thought flo was coming. Just for the hell of it I tested again that afternoon. While I was waiting for my test to process, I pulled out my morning test.......to my shock there were 2 lines. The second test came out with a very faint positive after about 10 mins. So faint my hubby didn't believe it. I went out and got a 2 dollar store and early response tests. I took all 3 that night with the Wondfo the only one with a positive. I took all 3 of them again in the am with fmu and all 3 positive. I continued to take a Wondfo test every morning until about 17 dpo. Days 13-15 my test took almost 10 mins to show the positive but the line become darker every day. I did confirm at 13 dpo and 15 dpo with a blood test to show my HCG levels with my doctor and so far so good! I am now 7 weeks. The Wondfo pregnancy tests were the earliest tests to confirm that I was preggers! However, it does take longer for the positive to show. I would give these a 5 stars, but I do not like the ovulation strips. My test line was never very dark and I couldn't never tell when I was ovulating. My cycles were wacky so I ovulated at different times. I bought these in the beginning of May because my husband and I were trying to have a second child and I am a compulsive tester, especially since until recently, my husband was in basic training and Airborne training (Army), which made this a little difficult. (I only got to see him for a couple of days in April, May and June) :) A few days ago on the 9th of July, I came home with my daughter from visiting my mother. I don't know what it was, but I decided to go ahead and use one of these tests. (I think I probably had about 6 or 7 left). I was impatient and probably sat there for about a minute and a half before I tossed the test on top of the trash and decided to lay down for a 2 hour nap with my daughter. When we woke up, I had the urge to pee real bad, so I headed to the bathroom. Now, everytime I've taken one of these tests, I always end up checking it again a few hours later because, like I said, I can be compulsive about these things haha and I know they usually say you can't read results 10 minutes after because they're invalid, but I can't help it. So as usual, I picked up the test and gave it a glance and noticed a faint line a bit below the control line. I thought my eyes were playing tricks, so I went ahead and did another test, but this time, I was more patient and sure enough, I got another faint line! I even wasted money buying two digital and two other tests so that I could compare how accurate these tests were. Two pregnancy tests gave me a second line (positive) and both digitals read "pregnant". I'm unsure how far along I am, so I can't say yet how early it detected my pregnancy. I have an upcoming appointment on the 21st to confirm pregnancy and will update my review when I have a better idea. All in all, I'd say if you don't have to waste money at the drugstore, then don't! These work JUST as well and the price is much better. :) I'd definitely recommend this to women trying to conceive, and especially women who are compulsive testers! I also have added a customer image of one of my positive tests for anyone who may not be exactly sure what to look for. :) UPDATE: Turns out I was about 4 weeks pregnant when I got my positive results using this test. My DH and I have been TTC since August 2011. We ordered these test strips along with the Wondfo One Step Ovulation (LH) Test Strips, 50-Count after 3 months with no luck. We got our BFP January 8, 2012 the day of my missed period. Two weeks later and the expensive store brand was still giving us a negative result, which really freaked us out. As of this post I am 9 weeks and 2 days, confirmed by my primary with a Beta HCG blood test and by my first OB appointment, and still going strong (fingers crossed xx). Some tips: * Use your FMU to get the most accurate results. You can test several times in the same day, the the FMU positive line will be darker than the ones taken later in the day. * BE PATIENT & wait to read the results!! I read through almost EVERY review here on Amazon for these test strips and the consensus from them and my own experience is to wait 5-10 minutes for the results. This allows the strip to dry and the lines to get as dark as possible for the most accurate reading. *Disposable little solo cups are great for catching your pee. *It is almost impossible to get a false positive. Most issues are evap lines (most common in blue line tests) or test indents where the positive would be. Research Chemical Pregnancy as well, another good (or bad depending on POV) reason for a positive test that turns out to be negative/period starts. *Make sure you are getting the product you see displayed. Many bad reviews stem from getting a product that is not Wondfo. Formosa Medical is a good seller. *Everyone produces a different amount of hormones. This was my second order of these test strips. Silly me wanted a pretty test to keep with the baby book. So I went to the store and bought one. It was negative, two weeks after consistent positives and days after I ran out of my Wondfo tests. It was too early to see my OB and I hadn't had any bleeding so I was worried. $15 store test, $5.69 plus shipping on the Wondfo tests, plus a $25 Copay to my primary, just to find out that the Wondfo tests, the doctor, and my husband were all right. My primary confirmed by a blood test that my Beta HCG levels were rising, just slowly. A urine test done in office also confirmed.

These strips are so much more economical than the tests you pay $15/one for at the pharmacy. They also save on waste as there is no plastic. They say to test after your period is due but I was able to get a positive result a few days earlier. Highly recommended.

Don’t bother with these. I wish I could return the 3 batches I just bought but I threw away the bags they came in. I love wondfo’s test strips but they were super cheap with the dye in this lot number (w00100334). As a result they give very faint lines (both test & control lines are much lighter than usual). I took a couple of strips apart and you can see on the dye pad that they didn’t even fill it all. So less dye means you get squinters whereas with every other test brands the lines are super dark. Waste of money.

I bought these test being a lil skeptical with the reviews saying there were bad batches out there and me being one that got a batch of the bad lot# but I used them for 2 cycles and they were always negative. This cycle I randomly used one at 3weeks 6days from my last period and got a faint positive. Thought it was the bad batch so I took another and it was positive. Then first response and it was negative. I then took another wind to and dipped it in water to see what would happen and stark white negative. In the same urine another wind to and positive. I was indeed pregnant and these tests picked it up 2 days before a first response or clear blue.

These tests detected my pregnancy very very faintly, they never did darken up much, and the packs are always full of a few duds that streak badly or take 4 seconds instead of 3 to soak up enough urine. I will continue to buy these for next pregnancy though because they are so cheap and as soon as I saw the faint line I bought a more expensive test.
