The best value monopod?
I already own the am-284 carbon fibre tripod by the same brand, so was confident this would be quality, it has not disappointed - especially considering I purchased with 20% off! Didn't bother with the carbon version of this as the difference is like 80g. Note the 284 tripod has pretty thick legs, and the 306 monopod has similar thickness, way more than I have seen in other monopods, whilst still being light (see comparison image). The legs a thick and solid, it is very sturdy and confidence inspiring, and way more solid than expected for the weight. Collapsed to its smallest size it fits into my F-Stop Ajna side pocket, which is super handy. The foam grip was a slight concern but this is not as cheap feeling as I feared, only time will tell how well it stands up to trekking around the countryside - right now I am confident.I have put a Pentax K3iii with grip, and the D-FA 150-450mm which is about 3.5kg (max) and it feels completely solid. I use a neewer mini fluid head on it and it works a treat. In fact the only time I felt something was not right, it turned out to be a little play in the tripod collar of my 300mm lens.Highly recommended, although someone needs to take a look at the copy writing for Sirui:"Extremely easy to use and compact, expands possibilities of outdoor photography with great convenience.", or "Embrace Maximum Possibilities In Various Applications" and my personal favourite: "Comes with two exquisite mini parts for identifying directions and easy carrying." - exquisite?? Hyperbole is the curse of modern merchandising but this is bordering on nonsense

Great value monopod
Excellent carbon fiber lightweight monopod for the money.I think there are much better monopods but you would have to spend hundreads for a Gitzo ect. to significantly better the Sirui AM-326M.Time will tell if it is durable or not but so far it is, the only downside is the compass is a bit low-rent but that is not what you buy the monopod for so just detach and put back in the box if you think you want it at some future point.I also felt no need for the carry strap so removed this also, I can see some might like to keep it attached for a hiking transport arangement, however I just leave mine attached to the long lens that I am using at the time.

Far better than expected at the price
PROS. For a low-to-medium-price monopod, this is far better than I expected, and I am very pleased with my choice. I was prepared to find some play in the joints when extended (in which case I would have returned it) but there is none at all. On the other hand, the sections drop easily and satisfyingly into place when freed. The sections do not turn independently as you operate the locks, so you only need one hand at each joint to slacken or tighten its lock, the other hand holding the top section or attached camera. This feature is not clear from the advertising, but other manufacturers make a big deal of it because joints requiring you to let go of the camera and apply two hands are infuriating. When the sections are telescoped together, I can easily work all five locks simultaneously with one (size L) hand. Weight is good, but I had to smile at the advertising hyperbole that describes half a kilo as “featherlight”! The retractable metal spike foot is a great convenience, but see also cons below. Advertising blurb describes the locks as removable for cleaning, which seems an excellent idea, but there is no instruction how to do this - I hope it will be obvious if I ever need to do it. I am 1.86m (6ft 1in), and the maximum height of this monopod is perfect for standing shots if I mount my camera directly, more than enough if I add a 5cm ball head.CONS. The metal top plate is large and relatively heavy. This is possibly required if you are using a fat DSLR or a big lens, but it’s more than I need for a compact camera. So I would prefer to be able to remove the top plate and replace it with a small ball head. Unfortunately this is not possible because of the design of the threaded bolt. I have already mentioned the foot as a positive feature, but the rubber part is only a millimetre or two thick at its end, so its mileage is undoubtedly limited. This is disappointing as the advertising emphasises the secondary use of this monopod as a trekking pole. The little compass is a foolish and unworthy gimmick. At best it is too cheap to be dependable, but since you are going to have a lot of metal close by, on the monopod or on your chest, its readings will be totally misleading. Fortunately it is easily removed, likewise the short strap which also holds a cheap quality snap shackle.

Excellent Monopod!!!
I already own a couple of Sirui tripods so know how well they are built. It was a no-brainer for me to add a Sirui monopod to my kit. The monopod is very well constructed and when fully extended is the perfect height for me.I use a Haoge CP-58 Arca-Swiss clamp with this monopod and it makes a nice combination. If your looking for a decent monopod I can definitely recommend the AM-326M.

Great product But.
Great little monopod, apart from one section jars when extended and in use, which transmits to the camera when shooting. Spoke to seller but required I pay to return item to Germany before a replacement would be authorised. This was not cost effective. So destroyed overall experience in the product. Had this not been occurring I would highly recommend the product. For the compact design and quality of materials. But not how to replace a faulty product.

Great portable monopod
The SIRUI AM-326M monopod is a great option for hiking or travel. It's short and light, easy to carry. The rings for adjusting the segments loosen and tighten easily and hold securely. I'm 5'2", and fully extending all but one of the segments puts the viewfinder of my SLR at a perfect height.

Sturdy + Lightweight
Lovely monopod! Easy to carry, and set up in a an instant. Very mobile, sleek and the grips on the handles feel great. I used it on a shoot recently and really liked the ease of it all.

Superb monopod
Very compact, light weight and sturdy. The locks are quarter turn so easy to engage and disengage. The sections can be deployed quickly and without fuss. Very light, easy to carry. Solid at full extension - I use it as a walking stick and I'm >6'2" and >300lbs.One minor complaint - the foot that contacts the ground slips a little at the end of a stride/pushoff. If the material were a bit softer it would be 100% perfect, instead of 98%.I'll be getting the tripod base soon. Looking forward to it.
