HIDDEN POWER FOR HUMAN PROBLEMS: The 7 "Parent" Thoughts Behind All Human Thoughts and How to Overcome Them Paperback – January 1, 1957

I strongly/highly recommend Hidden Power for Human Problems for anyone who wants to improve their life. Frederick Bailes was a genius! Hidden Power for Human Problems addressed just about every one of my problems/issues and I am thinking it is the best book that I've ever read, and I've read at least one book, sometimes two books, every week for the past 30 or 40 years. I've been studying the writings of dozens of new thought authors for decades, especially books related to Science of Mind/Religious Science/Mind Science, and Frederick Bailes' writings are more beneficial and meaningful to me than all of the other dozens of writers combined.

I am into daily Holosync meditation (for 8 years and counting), focusing on and expecting positive and good and reprograming my mind from past storage of garbage and sabotage thinking. I began reading this book on October 4, 2011 and finished on November 19, 2011 at 1:40 AM. I love this book and i love the author Dr. Frederick Bailes. He wrote this book way before the popular Law of Attraction hit the public. This book was written in 1957 and has been a powerful additional resource in that all my experiences are controlled by what's in my mind, what i put in my mind via focus and how i use my mind.I adore the prayer treatments in this book. My favorite is on page 63 called A Basic Prayer for Expectancy of the Good. I not only read it for the required 7 days straight but i continue to read each and every morning. I have also purchased Dr. Bailes books Your Mind Can Heal You (written 1941) and Basic Principles of the Science of Mind 12 lesson home study course (written 1951). I read and work through both simultaneously. All i can say is wow! This man was on point a long, long time ago and completely understood that all things begin and end in our mind. Defeat or success is determined first and foremost in our minds. Health and sickness is determined first and foremost in our minds.One of my favorite paragraghs: "Nothing negative can find a foothold in me this day. No doubt or fear can attach itself to me. No accidents or mistakes can occur because i walk in a path of right action both when i am thinking of it and when i am not. I release myself and all my affairs this day to the perfect working of that Perfect Law, which turns these thoughts into things."This stuff is deep. And if you're willing to approach it with an open mind, without question you will know it to be truth, go forth with it and flourish like we were meant to!Be well, from NYC... WE ARE THE 99%!

There are quite enough reviews on this book that explain how amazing and thoughtful the content of this book is, so I will simply share a neat story regarding it....To make a somewhat long storys short, after reading the chapter on the parent thought of "rejection" (which touches on how thoughts of rejection and feelings of unworthiness can keep people from finding someone to marry because the individual is so consumed with thoughts of rejection. The chapter talks about where thoughts of rejection and unworthiness come from, as well as how to replace those thoughts with positive, healing ones.), I thought about how badly my mother could use to read that chapter. Feelings and thoughts of rejection have always plagued my mother due to mistakes she had made when she was younger, although she would make the most incredibly wife to any man. I thought to myself, "My word! My mom needs to read this!" So I placed a marker at that chapter and left it on her bed for her to read before she went to bed. On my way out the door to go volunteer, I told my mom that I had left something on her bed and I really think she would enjoy reading it (I didn't say a word regarding what the chapter was about). She said that she would read it sometime before she went to bed.Anyway, fast foreword to this morning, I wake up and start getting ready for work when my mom comes to me with tears in her eyes and says "How did you know that I prayed yesterday for God to please, somehow, someway help me to get over my fear of rejection and feelings of unworthiness?" She had gone for a walk yesterday when she begged God to give her the strength to get over her insecurities so that she would be able to find a man to fully love, and to be fully loved by him. I had no knowledge that she had prayed this or that it was even on her mind when I left the book on her bed. But after reading that chapter and recognizing how accurately it described my mom, I had hoped it would help her. But how perfect the timing of God is! I was in shock listening to my mom explain that just a few hours before I put the book on her bed, she had prayed for help with the very thing the chapter was on!

This book will guide you to create the life you want to design. It tells you and shows you others stories as to why you need to gain more control of the emotions or our monsters inside us,to place them all in a correct place that we may bring forth the better us in the world and our lives. There are so many different examples that you can relate to or know of some friends who are these people stories. Life is so simple to live but we make it hard. I have found that these earlier new thought authors have it better explained than todays authors. At the end of the day it is practice what you want,focus on the end result and you will receive,just stay that course. I read parts of this book daily.

Das Buch von W. Bailes gibt es auch auf Deutsch unter dem Titel "Ich lebe glücklich, In ...". Das Original gefällt mir besser.

Comments on Hidden Power for Human Problems.Books are fine and are in brand new condition They arrived earlier than anticipated which was very welcomed.I am giving copies to some friends whom I think have need in the areas covered in the bookI did not like that fact that they did not have the summaries at the end of each chapter like the Prentice Hall editions . However the other content is the same I give it a 95% rating. and the service delivery_ 100%.Thanks a milliomH Earle Mullings
