We bought this to replaced a damaged HP Sceptre x360 bl112 15" laptop battery that had puffed and bent out the laptop cover. By searching on You tube you will find instructions on how to replace the original battery, and this battery replacement package stands apart from the others by providing you with all the tools to DIY the replacement: torx and philips screw drivers that are the perfect size, along with a plastic pick that helps you separate the laptop parts so you can open it up and replace the battery. Taking it step by step for the first time, it only took 15 minutes to replace the battery.They also give you instructions on how to "learn" the battery so that it lasts longer. Basically this entails charging to full and discharging as low as you can get (I went down to 10%) before recharging for a few cycles, so the battery is able to learn its ranges. I closely followed these instructions and the battery was giving me well over 4 hours of life, which was great!Unfortunately, after about 6 weeks of use, the battery failed completely. There was not much warning -- it discharged to about 25% normally, and then the laptop shut off and could not be turned back on until it was plugged back in. When plugged in, it would reboot but always show 25% battery life left, with no capability to charge beyond that. If I unplugged the laptop, it would immediately turn off. Eventually, the battery read 0% and could not even be moved in sleep mode from one plug to another plug, suggesting the battery was unable to hold any charge state.Fortunately, the reviews here and the insert indicated the seller would stand behind their product, and they did. I emailed them with an explanation of my problem, sent them a couple of pictures for their records, and within a week they had sent out a replacement battery, which I installed in less than 10 minutes and am back up and running. I am hopeful this replacement will last longer, but am reassured that the seller stands behind their warranty and will honor it.The one speculation I have is after I removed the original battery and replaced it with the new one they sent me -- the original battery had a date code on it indicating November 2022. The replacement is November 2023. Perhaps the old one failed because it was older and was sitting in their inventory. The replacement they sent was less than 3 months old as of this writing, which makes a difference if the first battery was not properly stored for over a year. It's understandable that it is hard for them to monitor inventory as a lot of the batches probably sit at an amazon warehouse, and it would be wasteful/against profits for them to destroy batteries that are too old. Unfortunately, that just means you get the luck of the draw in your battery. Be sure you flip it over to look at the time stamp sticker. If it is more than a year out, suggest you contact the seller to see if this is ok.B+ for battery being perfectly sized and easy to install, but only lasting 6 weeks.A+ for great service and very little hassle to replace a defective battery under the indicated warranty.Highly recommend you purchase from this seller as they will stand behind their sale!

I order this replacment battery on the ending of October for my HP All in one I had for about 7 years. In one of the pictures you can see my old battery which had expanded which I found out can be a fire hazard if not replaced quickly, but this battery replacement did the Job the tool kit worked great, the fit was exact, I was able to install easily and quickly, when I finished installing the battery, I drain it then let charge just to get the battery to kick in if that makes since, the battery charge holds up for about 5hrs on heavy use and 8hrs on low use, this laptop is used for WFH and Video streaming I try not to drain the battery nor keep it plugged for to long. The heat level let just say I haven't had an heat issue since replacement, for the price value this was a great investment.

The HP battery wouldn't keep the computer powered on if you removed the power plug. I installed this battery (I've replaced over 10 laptop batteries) and the computer powered up and ran fine. The battery constantly showed 100% even after being left on for 3 hours which is not right but I was leaving for a trip. I left the computer off for 2 days then when I went to power it up, it wouldn't start even on plug power. When I got back from my trip, I reinstalled the old HP battery and it powered up again.I'm guessing the computer some level of battery power to start and this replacement bricked.

Fit perfectly, EXCELLENT instructions (which is so rare I have to call it out), charged up and held a charge. I hope it lasts but my original battery was HP branded and swelled up like a balloon, so I don't see the value in buying a name brand.

This battery seems to work well once I got it installed in my HP Spectre 15-BL1XX laptop. The holes that align with the pins in the laptop were off just a bit and it was a struggle to get them engaged, but I finally did after I tugged on the battery's mating tabs. I subtracted 1 star for this fitment issue. I charged and discharged the battery for 4 cycles as per the instructions and am getting about 5+ hours of use now from a full charge.

The battery appeared to be defective when received. I installed it but it was not recognized by my laptop. I opened the case (those tiny screws are miserable to see) checked the connection, reinstalled the cover and the same thing - my laptop didn't recognize that a battery was installed. After reading an Amazon review about how they resolved the issue by realizing that the plug was 'UPSIDE DOWN"!. I opend the case, and sure enough when I compared the direction of the new battery plug to my old battery, I had the plug upside down. The gold metal contacts must be up when plugging the battery in, I flipped it over put the case back together again (still tough to see those small screws) and was able to powerup my laptop without having it plugged in! The battery came with a 40% charge and now I'm following the rest of the instructions to drain to 3% and recharge 3 to 4 times.So far so good!

I needed to replace the battery in my 6 year old HP Spectre X360 -15-bl152rn, 15" laptop. It fit in perfectly and has been running seamlessly ever since. I saved quite bit of money doing myself. It was just a matter of acquiring a small screw driver repair kit (from Amazon), and keeping track of the screws and where they go, disconnecting, and reconnecting the cables, the and the rest is history.I would suggest wearing nitrile gloves (inexpensive) while replacing it to eliminate any electrostatic discharge to the motherboard, as a safety measure. It's a rather simple process.
