Works well
Works well. Great price. This is not the waterproof version. But as long as you don’t drop it in the pool you are okay. I leave it inside the house, and go out to the pool with a cup and bring a cup of water inside to test. Also, I keep a bottle of water with in, because it says to rinse the sensor probes with bottled water after use. I give it a quick pour with a couple tablespoons of bottled water, so the same bottle of water lasts a long time. Great value for this model. If you are going to store it outside in the pool area, then I’d recommend getting the waterproof version. But if you are storing this inside, then you can save some money with this non-waterproof version. Seems to be very accurate compared to the professional test at the local pool store.

so easy to use
Used to use the strips but this is works in an instant and is easy to get an accurate reading. Ill never go back.

I like the meter
I like the meter, very accurate. That said wish lifespan of it was longer. Have to buy one every year. Change batteries doesn't work and never submerged them either. It is cheap enough so it really doesn't bother me for accurate readings.

Works Great and I prefer this to the disposable test strips
I bought this when our salt reader stopped displaying on the screen. The salt system was working, the display just went out for some reason. Our pool tech recommended getting test strips or taking water to the pool store to test. The problem with the test strips is that they are one use and cost around a dollar each. I found this meter and it is working great for our needs. I've verified the salt by testing and then taking some water to the pool store to test. Came out really close. I like that this is reusable for as many times as needed - no one use strips for me.... Would recommend for someone in the same situation as us.... Makes keeping the salt levels where we want them very easy.

A waste of my time...
Became a new Salt Water Pool owner this year and found in my research that it is recommended to have a 3rd party Salt level tester as my SWG could malfunction, which I find odd now and will explain below. From day one I never got a solid reading from this device, either from testing directly in the pool or within a cup of pool water. It seems each time I attempted to get a read, the numbers would jump around, sometimes in the 1000's. I tried everything I could do to resolve this (cleaning, swirling, battery reset) and before my return window closed, I decided to just send it back.My inexperience thought behind having a 3rd party tester - if the SWG is the device I rely on to create chlorine, then why am I not relying on it's ability to tell me if I need more salt or not? If the concern is that the SWG could start to malfunction and miss read the salt levels, like say there is not enough salt in the pool even thought it thinks there is, then I should see a decrease in my chlorine levels. So basically I'm saying, if you routinely monitor your pool's chemistry with those pool strips or chem kits, I see no reason why I would need this device.Alternatively, one may argue, with the SWG may be telling you your low on salt but some (like mine) dont actually show you your PPM so how do you figure how much salt to add? To that I would say, are you really only pouring in a 1/4 of an open bag of 20lb salt to get you to a magical number?? From my understanding, if you "technically" needed 12lbs of your 20lb bag of salt, its not going to break the system to just pour in the extra 8lbs vs trying to store a non resealable bag of salt.Again, I'm an amateur here so take what I say... with a grain of salt ;)

Do you have a Salt Pool?
This inexpensive device is easy to use. I took a water sample to a pool supply store and had them analyze my pool chemistry. They said my salt concentration was low. I was not having any issues with chlorine being generated from the salt, so I doubted the accuracy of their test. This device gave me a reading much higher than the analyzer at the pool store which explained why my chlorinator was working fine, actually better than any of the three prior seasons.

It may work
But I won't know. Tried to put it in like 1inch of water. But water got in. It is dead. Lasted all 1 minute. Strange product. Measures salt content in water but it is not waterproof

A + works well use only for Swimming pool Salt
A + works well use only for Swimming pool Salt. and make sure you clean wash the device after each use.pool man used it and showed a false reading on his device 25 ppr, and added more salt to the system which caused an error. Needed to empty pool water by 18 inches and add back fresh water. Aquapure system showed 43ppr and after adding water showed 39. works well now.

It works
Easy to read, works very well

Easy to use
Should have had one years ago for treating my koi pond , when doing a partial water change you can’t accurately know how much salt is in the pond without a meter like this.

Good product
It showed my pool was at about 4300 and I took a sample to get tested at pioneer pools and theirs showed 4200.

No battery
For the price I at least thought it would have a battery in it

Salt water tester
I used this item for a month. Then it started to give off odd readings. Changed batteries and still no good. Past the return date. Would not recommend.
