Best thing about this is that it goes below 65 degrees.
This is the 3rd oil filled radiator/heater I've owned. The first one was a Pelonis. It worked fine but wasn't digital (it just had a dial) so you had no idea what heat it was putting out. This one lasted a few years and developed a slow leak. It was never enough to puddle on the floor so I can only presume that eventually enough oil leaked out so that the heating element burned out. It still lasted several years after the leak developed. The second was a digital Pelonis and I still have that but the lowest setting is 65 degrees. When electirc was included in my rent this was not a problem. Now I pay electric and have to pay attention to things like that. This heater starts at 45 degrees. I got for my shop to go with the dehumidifier which was keeping the shop dry but it was too chilly to work in there. With this I can set it at 50 or 55 degrees and take the chill off. If I need it warmer there is a wood stove but it takes a long time for steel tools to warm up from 30 degrees. This is perfect. It also has a cover over the fins which would make better for inside a house because it loos nicer but also keeps someone from touching the hot fins by accident. If this last as well as the others I have I will stick with this brand if I need another one.

Good purchase to keep our basement warm!
We were looking for a replacement for an older electric fireplace that had become a fire hazard while needing to keep the basement warm, as that is the family living space and our teenage son's bedroom. About 3 seasons of the year it is too cold to walk from bedroom to bathroom, and I really wanted something that could heat the whole space. Before, when you walked down the basement stairs, you would feel the temperature drop with every step you took. Now, the drop is minor. In fact, you don't notice it. We set the heater at 75 degrees for the first night and noticed a warmth creeping in within the first three hours. Even though the heater was in the bedroom half of the basement, we didn't have to bury ourselves under blankets in the family room half in order to watch tv that evening. My son came up to breakfast in the morning without shivering too. Said he "hadn't noticed" if it worked, but wasn't cold. For a 17yo boy, that means it worked perfectly. It's a good size. Not too big, not too small. Came in one piece. Plugged it in. Voila. Good purchase, and I'm glad we went with this versus another electric fireplace-- more mobile, more versatile, better heat.

Compact and Efficient Radiant Heater
I bought this radiant heater recently in anticipation of cooler months ahead. This heater is different from other heaters in terms of design. It is sleek, compact, light, contemporary and digital. The unit is reasonably safe to touch as there aren't many exposed heating components. The digital interface is easy to use and navigate with only a few buttons to fiddle around. There are 3 heating modes which consists of 600W, 900W and 1500W, basically low, medium and high. In order to heat up the room quickly, it is best to skip the lower settings and go straight for the 1500W as this unit takes a while to warm up the room in lower settings. But once the room is heated up, there should be no problem in maintaining the warmth. The remote control works as expected and is a welcome addition in case you do not want to hop off your toasty bed in the middle of a chilly night in order to turn on the heater.PRO:- it has cool design which is different from its competitors- light and compact- safe to touch when turned on- digital dial allows for exact temperature settingCON:- may take a while to heat up the room (since it is a radiant heater)- pricier than other regular looking radiant heaters

Keeps the baby warm...
First night using this space heater in the nursery, and it kept the room nice and warm. The nursery has floor to ceiling windows on one whole wall, and they leak pretty badly (we're renters in a high rise). Now that it is dipping into the 30's overnight where we live, our 8 month old has been waking up a lot through the night. We suspected it was because she is cold even with warm pajamas and a wool sleep sack. Baby slept 100x better compared to previous nights. Can't say much about energy efficiency right now since it's only been one night, but we left it on ECO mode that allows max temperature of 70 F. We like that this space heater has a digitally controlled thermostat, and it will cycle on and off to maintain that temperature. Should be far more energy efficient than the typical space heaters that come with a low/high settings or a dial that you really have no idea what temperature will result. We were also impressed with how fast the space heater got warm. Within minutes you could feel it radiating heat. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if we needed one for another room.

Heats up extremely quick!
Ordered this a few weeks ago before it got super cold & today I was finally able to put it to use; the remote is very simple & easy to use. I love the digital interface & the temperature controls. I turned it on, started it at 80 degrees & about 5 mins later (maybe even less to be honest) it is already emitting a great amount of heat, so it works VERY quickly. It has that space heater smell (nothing bad, just smells like a heater) in the air, but I’m assuming this is because it’s my first time putting it to use. I love that it rolls, which makes transporting from any room in the house easy and I love how soon it is. It doesn’t take up too much space at all, I have it in my little corner (with enough distance in between so nothing sets on fire). & also I love that it’s child AND pet safe (they can be close and it won’t burn/harm them). All in all, I’m happy with this purchase. The only thing that could have made me happier is it being an all black unit!
