Logarithms and Exponentials Essential Skills Practice Workbook with Answers

I had a copy of this book on Kindle but decided to get the hard copy too. This is another beauty that follows the workbook format. I noticed that I had forgotten a bunch of techniques for solving logarithmic equations. So, I opened up this workbook and stuff that was long forgotten came right back. If I was a High School or Middle School student I would grab this gem. What a bargain. Thank you, Dr. McMullen.

Great to review what I have forgotten. I like a way to handle big numbers and eponents.

Got this during some uncertainty after trudging through a section on logarithms in an algebra text. The explanations are very clear and the focus is on exercises (with full solutions) and very well planned skills progression from topic to topic.

The laws of logs & applications is well done & helpful. It does get @ the basics as desired. However, I would like to have seen more about the use of semi-log graphing to include an example or two of when you have many raw data points to plot and u desire to derive the equation for (X & Y) of the best line fit. You know it will be an exponential equation, but how do u derive it? Just wondering?

Great book for being able to access a variation of mathematical problems. This book is suitable for both beginner and advanced math skills!

Great book to practice your skills, lots of room to work out answers, well selected problems with clear solved problems.

If you want a little more detail than the usual gloss-over that's given to logarithms, I totally recommend this book. I've been quite please with it since it's arrival.

My child goes to 8th grade, also in accelerated math program for 9th grade, also goes to Kumon. I must say that this book really helped.

Good introduction to logs

I purchased this book to pick up a set of reigns dropped sixty years ago and it is an excellent manual, made all the better by a generous set of questions (and answers). I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in this branch of mathematics and I congratulate the author on being able to produce a work on Logarithms with mentioning either Kelvin or Napier...

Just finished this book, So concise and so much effort put into it to explain, examples, solutions and small crannies and details. Love it. My Logarithm skills improved huge.
