Q: What is the difference in the metal of the gold eye and the silver shaft? They can't both be the same stainless steel as they are different colours...

The golden needle eye is a bit bigger.

Q: Will short needles get stuck inside the bottles if there is an inside lip or edge?

No they don't. I have put some short needles in the bottle.

Q: What diameter/length are the needles? It tells me the size of the container but not the needles themselves.
