Western 01-0701-W Roma Tube Pasta Machine
I bought this machine because I have started making my own pasta, and wanted to be able to get away from buying the tube pasta at the store, homemade is so much better and healthier too. I am still working out the kinks with it I have mastered the rigatoni and my grandchildren love it. Having some problems with the pasta sticking and not coming out of machine right but as they say " practice makes perfect" and you can always eat your mistakes. The fresh pasta tastes so much better and in the long run is cheaper to make . I love cooking from scratch and this machine makes things a little easier.

Needs Elbow Grease, Works Well
Tip: make your pasta dough into little balls to fit in the machine gear opening, add a little more water to the mix and rest the dough in a plastic bag. This still needs some elbow grease, but I made the shapes without problems or holes in the mix. To clean I used the sprayer setting on my faucet and it worked very well. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the plastic handle.

You pay for what you get *** UPDATED ***
Does this pasta machine do the job? Yes *** UPDATE *** NO IT DOES NOT DO THE JOBMy son and I had a great time making the pasta and equated it to using the Play-Doh Factory Pasta Maker. *** UPDATE *** Not very fun anymore and is more of an act of frustrationIs the pasta machine a PITA to clean? YES!!!!! *** UPDATE *** STILL is a pain to cleanShould I have spent more money on a non-plastic unit? YesEnjoy that arm workout as you crank endlessly to make pasta come out of this machine.*** UPDATE ***I was seconds away from throwing this machine across my kitchen yesterday. It is just a horrible machine to work with. Since the return date has passed, I probably will just give it to my son so he can use it with his Play-Doh. This flimsy device is not made to be used with realy pasta dough.SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Ok. This thing is a hot mess. Had it out of the box for 10 minutes and the handle broke to the crank. The clamp to keep it on the table is super cheap allowing the "pasta maker" to slide on my table leaving a huge cut in the wood. It does all come apart fairly easy but it's still impossible to clean. They send you a plastic "pasta cutter" that's basically a spatula that does the exact opposite of cut. $62. I would highly recommend getting this as a prank. If not I would save my money and invest in something that's not a peice of junk...

we have used this a few times now . it works realy well once you get the hang of it . the only cons are as follows the clamping system is cheap. the plastic handle striped out on frist try. the cleaning of the disks are time consumeing. as of right now were trying different brushes.

Poor quality
I have been making my own pasta for over twenty years and this was a replacement for a previous Italian built model to which it looked identical. It came with a dough mixing attachment. This I could not get to mix thoroughly so went back to making the dough in my food processor. If you want to make tubular pasta {penne or bucatini} you need a very stiff dough otherwise when extruded it all sticks together and/or worse collapses when cooked. This machine can not create enough pressure to extrude successfully and not long into its life something inside no longer gripped the handle and in a fit of pique it hit the dustbin on recycling day.

Appalling!
I have been making my own pasta for over ten years with great success, but thought i would give this a go due to the range of pasta types it can produce. Don't waste your money! This is appalling! I have gone back to making pasta by hand, and this awful machine has gone in the recycling,to hopefully come back as something more useful!

buen producto
El producto es muy bueno y cumple con lo que promete, hay que cuidar mucho que la pasta sea bastante seca para que los varios formatos salgan bien

Service
I cant say too much about the unit as it was not for me although I have not seen them in action. The wrong item was sent before Christmas. The customer response was very good and I have the item now on 03 Jan even though I only just sent the other one bck
