The eyes have it on these tongue-twisting dinosaurs!
We love 'BUZZ' in the same series and this title is also beautifully illustrated by Zoe Waring. In a rather different approach, it is a colourful ‘peek-a-boo!’ board book with large lift-the-flaps that cover huge eyes on cheery faces. The thick card flaps are extensions of the main pages, so no danger of parting company! From the back cover:🦖 ‘Peek-a-Boo BabyROARWho is hiding under the flaps?Play peek-a-boo with new dinosaur friends to find out.Children will have so much fun exploring the pages and peeping under the flaps.’ooOooMeasuring around 17 cm square, the colourful, thick card cover opens to 5 double page spreads with chunky flaps covering the eyes on both pages. The flaps are matte finish and easy to get a hold of; the main page underneath has a light sheen finish. The left hand side has the question ‘Where’s…?’Under the flap is the relevant animal noise repeated, along with ‘Peek-a-boo!’On the right hand side is a variety of short requests such as ‘Let’s lift this up and look.’Under the flap is the chance to make the noise of the character along with a repeat on each page of ‘Can you play peek-a-boo?’In order of appearance:~ Tilly Triceratops/Rrrroar!~ Dippy Diplodocus/Chomp, chomp!~ Terri Pterosaur/Rrark, rrark! & Squawk!~ Hudson Hadrosaur/Grrrr! & Growl!~ Tommy T Rex/Rrrroar!Other titles in the series currently available include:BOO!MIAOWMOOZOOI LOVE YOU[8 images attached © Zoe Waring & Pat-a-Cake/2021]

Dinosaur 🦖 grrrrrrrrrrr
One of the oldest games going, involving babies, who doesn’t love a game of peek a boo.The book is full of easy questions and gorgeous pictures of cute dinosaurs hiding under flaps , and who doesn’t like dinosaurs 🦖 grrrrrr. The book is hard back, with ten pages of double page colourful pictures, of various dinosaurs 🦕.A great addition to the peek a boo series.

Lovely book
Very good quality interactive playbookWith gorgeous dinosaurs in it.Ideal for little ones from around 1-1.5 years old so they won’t damage the pages by tearing or pulling out the dinos from the book.

We just don't like the design of these books
This is one of a series of books ostensibly designed for very young audiences, perhaps their first lift-the-flap books - the flaps are huge and the text very simple. But to my eyes they are flawed - basically because they only work if you open two flaps at once, and that takes far more coordination than the target audience will have. This one will gather dust on a shelf sadly.

Cute and simple story. Best for young children.
A short and sweet book for young dinosaur lovers! I'd recommend this book for children between 12-24 months. I think any more than that and they may be a little bored. It's only a few pages long, and very few words to accompany. Each page showcases a new dinosaur, all colourfully and jovially illustrated. It introduces the dinosaur and encourages the reader to open the flaps to find them. That's about it! A name, an encouragement to "find" them and a peek-a-boo reference. It's pretty formulaic. But I do like the illustrations. The quality is also good. I think all books for this age range should be board books, rather than paper! Even the flaps are reasonably firm, so should stand up to some scrutiny. As for the child test (the most important bit!) he was intrigued, he smiled at the drawings as he loves dinosaurs. He wasn't particularly interested in me reading it to him, try as I might! He did pick it up a few times, as he likes to work out the flaps himself. I would say a moderate interest vs his other books. In closing: Nice quality, good and fun illustrations but a little repetitive and lacking interest for more than a couple of reads.
